He teaches the word chapter by chapter, verse by verse, which is refreshing, given that many churches fail to teach the word at all, or lead you around, dragging you to the verses that they deem important. Arnold Murray finds ALL of the word important.

hey. you sound like this guy i know named tim. are you two the only guys who watch shepherds chapel? any way, i hear if you start playing guitar like him he kills you. 'course i heard it from a dead guy so what can ya do?
I find Mr. Murray's teachings to quite refreshing finnaly someone who can teach the word the way it was supposed to be.
For the people who disagree with shepherd's chapel's teaching that is your right, just remember the carnel mind cant understand the true word, only through prayer and asking for understanding can you understand.
I've studied with Shepherd's Chapel for going on nine years and I find the chapter by chapter and verse by verse teaching to be very edifying. Some people have a problem with Pastor Murray's stern tone but it's exactly what I need to keep me straight.
For those serious about the study of God's word, The Sheperd's Chapel is edifying.....however, for those of you who don't have ears to hear, get your quarterly's out and swallow the hook, the line,and s

I've been studying with Dr. Arnold Murray for about 9 years. Mr. Murray is by far the most in depth bible teacher on radio, TV or the internet. I may not agree with everything Dr. Murray says but, I highly value the knowledge that he passes on. I have lived in several regions throughout the U.S. and I still have not found a more informative Bible teacher by an means.

I have loved listening to Mr. Murray's teachings. Gods Word is perfect. He is reading out of God's Word, nothing is wrong with that.
I began my of-an-on again studies with Shepherds Chapel almost 11 years ago. I was first drawn to Pastor Murray when I saw one of his shows where he traveled to the Ash Fall Fossil Beds and talked about his take on evolution. I found it quite fascinating and because of that show, I studied geology and paleontology in college. I am now a christian geologist, partly thanks to Pastor Murray. I find when I'm not feeling good, getting online and listening to The Shepherds Chapel stream makes me realize just how much God loves me.
I was first introduced to the teachings of Shepherd's Chapel when I was in the Army. One of my fellow soldiers was a long time student of the chapel and a quiet Christian.
At first I was horrified by some of the doctrines of the chapel (the serpent seed theory) and then I became fascinated. I am now a casual student of the chapel. The fact that Dr. Murray is a veteran carries a lot of weight with me.
I think Dr. Murray has some unique teachings to share with the Christian community.
It is unfortunate that the chapel does not yet have the truth of the seventh-day Sabbath. I listened to some tapes from the chapel on the subject of the Sabbath and was not at all convinced of their position. I believe Dr. Murray's son, Dennis, spoke on those tapes.
I have noticed some unique similarities between the chapel and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church:
1) I have read that the chapel teaches keeping some of the kosher dietary laws. I haven't heard these chapel teachings for myself yet.
2) Another belief that the chapel holds in common with the SDA church is the idea of complete destruction of sinners in hell, rather than eternal burning and suffering of sinners in hell.
It makes me wonder if perhaps some of Dr. Murray's beliefs originate from the Seventh-day Adventist church. Maybe he was raised a Seventh-Day Adventist. Perhaps he earned his degree from an SDA seminary. No one knows where he earned his doctorate.
Besides the Sabbath issue, the other thing that really bothers me about the chapel is that nothing is documented officially in written form. There is of course a statement of faith on their website. You can also order many works of Bullinger from the chapel’s monthly newsletter. But all the chapel’s teachings are broadcast or tape recorded. This method of propagating their ideas makes criticism very difficult. When works are in print, it makes quotation and discussion easier.
Shepherd’s Chapel has been a blessing to me, but I am still officially a Seventh-Day Adventist. I am incorporating teachings of both schools of thought into my life.

I find it funny that so many people critize Pastor Murray for teaching God's word in the format that it was written...book by book...verse by verse. Just how God wote it. When Pastor Murray identifies incorrect translations, he always takes it back to the Hebrew and/or Greek to correct those errors. I have gained much wisdom from watching his TV program the past 10 to 12 years. I feel God has directed me to his teachings and I'll trust God that he is leading me in the direction He wants me to go, from the teacher He wants me to learn from. I too hate those who take one verse from the Bible and spend an hour giving their interpatation. I want God's Word...not man's because my enternal life depends on it!
I also feel God had blessed me with the eyes and ears to know the truth. Pastor Murray backs up everything he teaches. He even tells those who disagree with him to prove him wrong. It's funny that no one has been able to do that.
For those of you who believe in a false rapture, that you will be taken away before God's wrath is unleashed...you just keep believing this falsehood. Pastor Murray calls it like it is. Like God wrote it.
Know this, Jesus Christ will be ruling with a rod of iron upon His return. Why? For you unbelievers or those who allowed themselves to be misled. You will be taught the Truth! If not by Pastor Murray...my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be happy to teach you.
For those who mock anyone (Pastor Murray) that teaches anything different to the doctrine they grew up with, shame on you! What makes you think your Pastor or Church teaching were as God intended? Man and Satan has had 2000 years to influence our way of thinking. I'm just thankful God has directed me to Pastor Murray and His Truth thru teaching His Word Book by Book...Verse by Verse!!!

I have studied with The Shepherd's Chapel for nearly 8 years now, and it just amazes me how much criticism he receives. Many people even go so far as to call him a "cult leader", which is obsurd. People are so comfortable with the traditions of men, that they refuse to accept the Truth. People are afraid to find that what they have been taught their enitre lives has been wrong all that time, and that they have been so easily deceived by the influence of others, whether it be their family, church, peers, or just mainstream society. I enjoy Pastor Murray because he encourages his students to research his teachings, to "look it up for yourself", instead of just believing everything the man at the front of the church says aka "one verse Charlies". Through thick and thin, Pastor Murray has remained constant in his teachings and beliefs. His straightforward teaching style is real and unsugarcoated. Plainly, he doesn't mess around with the Word. He teaches everything chapter by chapter and verse by verse to where you thoroughly understand the Bible. I have actually had the privilage to meet Mr. Murray and have never been so proud to shake someone's hand. I feel he teaches the absolute Truth and God stands behind him regardless.
HMMMMMMMM.....I wonder, I wonder why Dr. Murray won't say where he has his degree from. Maybe it is like my former pastor who raised up a "bible school" for 18 months and w/o attending a single class EVER (not this sham of a school nor anywhere else) and still got a "doctorate" handed over to him. Let's hope not; most people are very glad to say where they graduated and what they studied. As far as his teaching goes, at least he does teach in a style that takes one through the Bible.
I've been a student of the Word for about 2 years now. I study with The Shepherd's Chapel. To be blunt, I was an unbeliever, an athiest, or.. a nihilist. I didnt know who I was. All I knew was that I did not trust churches and I did not trust Christians.. something just didnt seem right to me when it came to Catholics.. Baptists.. etc. I hated satanists.. I hated religion.. PERIOD. Then one morning I was sitting on the couch smoking a joint, drinking a cup of coffee, getting ready to go to work and low and behold I turned the channel to find Pastor Murray teaching from Exodus. At first, I was ready to start mocking another televagelist until.. I saw him simply reading from the Bible and TEACHING me what it means! WOW! It blew my mind. I was hooked from that moment on.. I quit smoking pot.. completely changed my life. The Lord was calling me to His truth.. how beautiful it was.. it meant so much to me (and still does) that.. I had once said to God, "If You're there.. send me a teacher.. I cant understand anything in this Bible" It brought me to tears.. I was so miserable in this world.. I hated this world..
Anyway.. I was called. Does it really matter WHERE Dr. Murray got his doctorate?? or IF he has one?! Do you remember the Scriptures when the Pharisees asked Christ, "Of what authority do You teach these things?" and Christ responded, "I'll answer if you can answer this: Was John the Baptist baptizing people of men or of God?" They couldnt answer. A person teaching the Word of God either gets his credentials from men or from God. Pastor Murray's credentials are obviously of God. If you dont like it.. go listen to a fruitcake like John Hagee and get all that doctorate from men teaching junk and just be comfortable in ignorance like all the rest.. or.. you can be built on the TRUE Rock.. which is Christ.. which.. in all.. He IS the Word Of God (St. John Chpt 1:1, Rev. 19:13).

Finally, someone who is willing to stand up and let other Shepherd's Chapel students be heard. I have been watching Pastor Arnold Murray for over twelve years now teaching chapter by chapter, verse by verse, line by line. My sister and myself were being led into the confusion of the Rapture doctrine by a television nut when I happened to turn the television channel to the Shepherd's Chapel Network, at that exact moment, Pastor Arnold Murray said,"There is going to be no Rapture." My sister and myself immediately started watching and listening and were led to the truth and are still being led more in the Word everyday. Praise God for leading us to a true teacher of God's letter to us and out of the confusion, giving us eyes to see, ears to hear, and giving us a voice to be sowers of the word.
As for those who a critical of Pastor Murray and his son, Dennis Murray's teaching of the bible. I would like to see them go one on one with either one of them about edifying any part of the the Holy word and see them run with their tails between their legs, because they are so afraid of Christians who know the Word and aren't willing to blindly follow them into the pit they are digging for themselves.
Some will never have the ears to hear, or eyes to see the truth, and their tongues are as those of the serpent. I personally dislike casting my pearls before swine and try to avoid it. Eventually everyone will bow their knees and hear the truth, probably will take a millstone around the neck and a two-by-four, as Pastor Murray is fond of saying for the stiff-necked bunch out there of this generation who are trying to take GOD out of our beloved nation. I can hardly wait for the day.

Arnold Murray teaches that the British are the descendants of the lost tribes of Israel. This has been proven to be false. Dr Murray does not have the Holy Spirit. Find another Church.
Just because someone comes here stating that it has been "proved" that the British are not descended from the so-called lost tribes of Israel doesn't make it so. Show us the "proof".
Hello all. I am a scientists that struggled with God and evolution. Then my mother suggested to listen to pastor Murray. He has a very unique way of teaching and if you are initially sceptical, you can go and research all of what he says. I was so sceptical of some things I began to read the bible for myself. To my suprise everything he says can be proven through history books, hebrew or greek, and most importantly the bible. Whether he has a doctorate or not I don't care, but I don't think that Mr. Murray would lie to all of his listeners while trying to deliver God's word. Everyday with God is good day.

I have never found a ministry so refreshing as Shepherds Chapel. To be taught Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse, I can finally fully understand the meaning of the Bible. This is the ministry I have been seeking for a long time. I was raised a Baptist and still retain some basic Baptist beliefs but the Shepherds Chapel has brought the Bible to life for me and I will consider Arnold Murray my minister for years to come.
First of all, I'd like to say that a creator God would not leave his creation in ignorance, that He would indeed let the truth be known, even if it was from a small church in Gravette, Arkansas. Pastor Arnold Murray teaches God's truth the way God intended it to be taught, Isa 28:10, precept by precept, rule by rule, or in the modern English, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. I have been a member of the Chapel for many years and I applaud my Christian brothers and sisters for searching and finding the truth, just like me. Pastor Murray is not perfect, and constantly tells viewers to check it out for themselves, simply echoing Jesus' words, "Haven't you read?." Ignorance is no excuse for illiteracy in 2006 and the difficulty in finding the truth is no excuse for not looking. True concepts that pastor Murray explains for ex. the first heaven and earth age, the Kenites and the difference between the 6th and 8th day creations to me were groundbreaking theological epiphanies, opening the closed doors of ignorance and tradition that have saturated the majority of the Christian theological schools. I live in Canada, and I must say that the twin falsehoods of athiestic fundamentalism and secular relativism are running wild here. They just made gay marriage legal last year to my horror.
If your a member of the Chapel, expect to be hated, and I mean hated. Jesus says those who truly follow will be hated. And they are the members of the Shepherd's Chapel church. Most days I feel like Lot, when he was telling his son-in-laws to escape Sodom and they laughed him to scorn and thought he was out of his mind.I get laughed at all the time and many former friends and work aquaintences think I'm out of my mind. Unlike them, I will not be praying for the mountains and the hills to fall on me, because they will when they realize the scope of their error. I tell people about the Chapel because I love people. I became a believer because I believe it's the truth. If I'm hated because of that...so be it. Thanks for putting up this blog. It's great to share ideas with like-minded people who know the truth. I have listened to Pastor Arnold Murray for many many years, I am studying Greek and Hebrew and have found him to be very acurate and right on. I check him out on everything he preaches. The only problem I have with him is that he can be vague at times and I also kmnow he does it on purpose. It is to make you dig deeper into God's word and study more. He has shown me answers in scripture that no one else could or would do. I agree with the only KJV, the others leave out, change and twist scriptures taking the diety away from Christ. He is also right in saying God's servants are not beggars as some are.
I have the good fortune to not only be Greek, but to have received my classical education in Athens, Greece, including 6 yrs of ancient Greek.
Pastor Murray may not be fluent in Greek as I am, but he does his homework, and all his interpretations, at least of the Greek, are faultless.
Moreover, his amazing knowledge of the whole Bible allows him to recall and know the relationships between just about any Biblical character, as well as related passages, prophesies, etc.
For the listener, that is the most difficult task, to be able to "relate" those parts of the Bible which have a relationship to other parts.
I have found Pastor Murray to be THE single most useful teacher of the Bible, with no theatrics, and no demands for money. God bless him and his son Dennis.
It amazes me that no one of those who doubt Pastor Murray's teaching about the 6th day Creation (that there were people created then), notice the critical verse Gen.4:17 "And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch..."
Can't they ask themselves: If Adam, Eve, and Cain were the only people on Earth, WHO was Cain's WIFE?
In Gen 4:16 it says Cain left and went to live away (And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.)
Not only was Eve the only woman at that time, but Cain went to live away from her. The Bible calls the woman he married "his wife", so it could not have been his mother.
This cannot be lightly dismissed at all, because it is so obvious.
Though I may not agree with Arnold Murray on all things, he lifts up his voice and spares not..which is what this dying world needs. He also says..to trust no man, "not even this man", but to seek Yahshua always. As I recall, the disciples of Yahshua had no Seminary degree, nor does Messiah require it..so those who insist upon it are being fleshly, not seeing with spiritual eyes.No amount of College can make a disciple...only Yahshua can do that.
I do pray Shepherd's Chapel will come to see that the Sabbath is still in effect, and also that they are on air many more years!

Interesting? Not really. Informative? No, not at all. Murray follows the common teachings of most cults. Everyone is wrong but him. Sounds just like Joseph Smith and the Mormons to me. And like most cults, you have to get rid of Hell so people don't have to feel guilty for living in sin regardless of the fact a Holy and Righteous God says to not do that. As with all the cults, he twists the scriptures to change the meanings so they concur with his false teachings. Take the Flood of Noah. The Holy Bible says "all flesh perished that lived on dry land" ... but Murray says he author was wrong and didn't mean that at all. It only flooded right there where Noah was. You have got to ask yourself a question... this god Murray says he is following doesn't seem to be able to write a book without Murray correcting the errors for him. Pretty weak god in my opinion. Unless Murray was wrong after all. That would mean God meant what He said about all flesh perishing that lived on dry land which derstroys the basis for his religion after all. But then again, I am a dummy that doesn't understand plain english language, even if I have the credits for a Bachelor's in Bible Studies. So what makes Murray so popular if he is smarter than the God he believes in? Sorry, I didn't mean to crass. I just don't understand how we can believe in a Bible that only he has understood and he is having to explain away all the mistakes no one else sees but other cults... Thanks
I have studied with SC for many years. At first I was stunned with disbelief, so I tried to prove him wrong the deeper I dug the more the lights came on. I felt the Holy Spirit wash through me for the first time in my life. I came to life at that time with eyes to see and ears to hear. Nothing has ever been the same since. Thank GOD for SC and Pastor Murray. I know I was led there for a reason. It's something many will not understand unless they can open their soul to YHVH.....Brenda Noonan
I came across Mr Murray at a time in my life when I was desperatley seeking the truth. What I was hearing being preached at church didn't line up to what I was reading at home. I literally cried out to God and begged for the truth to be shown. I like others when first hearing the teachings of SC thought it was blasphemy, but I was drawn back time and time again and the more I tried to prove him wrong the more the Holy Spirit showed me he was right. It is much easier to dismiss the truth and follow the traditions of men that it is to admit that everything you had ever been taught about the Bible was a lie, but what better way for the devil to mislead people. Do you really believe a talking snake was in the Garden and led Adam and Eve away by eating a piece of fruit? Than why when they were caught did they cover the private area and not their mouths?
I have learned not to cast my pearls before swine, God has placed spirituals blinders on many and the great majority never care to actually study Gods word using a Strongs Concordance, they either read the Bible like a dime store novel, or the only time they ever open their Bible is for an hour each week at church and I am afraid the later is true most of the time. I am excited that we will all know the truth very soon and I am eagerly awaiting the day when I can take my place as God's elect and stand before the antichrist and allow the holy spirit to speak through me while most so called Christians will be bowing their kneee to him. I thank God for the teaching of Arnold and Denise. I haven't seen Arnold on the air lately does anybody have a update on his health? I was looking for this info when I found this blog.

I am dying a slow death from incurable bone cancer at the age of 45. I have out lived my immediate family and next to friends, I have God 24/7. I was raised to believe in God but never studied the Bible or attended church until 2 years ago. I am greatful for the Bible study courses Arnold prepares for us. I can watch them at anytime because I record them. I am educated, but I still find some of the bible very complicated to grasp. I have a study bible when I am strong enough to read it. I agree that the Pastor gets a little "sassy" sometimes, but thank God he doesn't rant on like a carneval barker. I've read the accusitory websites about Mr. Murray and at first I was dismayed that once again I found a person that was a fundimentalist zealist. After reading the former comments, I feel pretty good that this man is genuine and might very likely put himself in the background and downplay his credentials to keep the spotlight off of himself and on the Bible. Also, I am impressed that the Church isn't begging for money and building "crystal cathedrels" for Jesus.
I became a member of Shepherds Chapel ,in 2001 and since I've been studying with Pastor Murray, I learned alot and got introduced to Wisdom. To all of the HATERS of Pastor Murray, I pray that you find Wisdom, that you may also have ears to hear and eyes to see. We are the generation of the Fig Tree and Our Lord Jesus Christ said " Learn The Parable Fig Tree." Everyone need to realize and take cover and Pray Harder, because are in the Last Days. Pastor Murray is an excellent Sheep Feeder!!! If you believe in the rapture... Ask yourself this question... Where were the Israelites during the plagues in Egypt when Pharaoh would not let them go? Start by reading Exodus 10...

Pastor Murray part of a cult (can I say conspiracy - hee-hee) So far, everything I have read of him in a negative way... Has been false. The only thing I can say of this is, while these people are watching him they have set their heart against him already or the shocker of first hearing of Eve and satan. Growing up all their lives hearing about this apple. I read a blog a short while ago (against Shepherds Chapel) and the woman still says apple. People, didn't Yeshua speak in parables? Look, what did Adam and Eve do after this transpired? They put figs over their privates. Do a search on the word fig in e-sword. Check out the relations with figs in the bible (but...) read more than the verse you find... get deep into the word. Not just one verse or two. Precept upon precept. False it is that Pastor Murray is racist, never heard it out of his mouth. I'll tell you one thing he hates... satan. Oh, dag nabbit... ya got me there... He is racist. If he doesn't like satan and his offspring I guess you can say he is. But oh, you don't believe in the Kenites. I can say one thing I haven't seen floating around out there. The doctrine about Ham seeing the nakedness of his father. I've heard many people say GOD made Ham a black man because of this. AND what does P.M. Say? The total opposite. In seeing his fathers nakedness means sleeping with his wife and a mark was set upon Ham for this. read it. It seems if P.M. was a racist, he'd jump on this one.

I believe Shepherds Chapel is very detailed and I believe once we find the truth it is very hard to listen to traditions of men. We all will be surprised when we find out who makes it to heaven... I used to be scared to listen to different ministry's so I just listened to traditional pastors in traditional churches, but I found so many errors in them , I did not understand why people who were supposed to be on tract just came up with fairy tales. I don't know about you but anyone that teaches me to check him out and teaches me to go back to the Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and tells me to think for myself I LIKE.So many pastors preach baby food out there no wonder God blinded eyes. Do I follow Arnold Murry no but I do trust his teachings 100 percent... He teaches not to follow man but God. He teaches to read the Bible and study the scriptures.... Like the Bible says After the Holy Spirit comes on you ,you need no one to teach you but the Holy Spirit that teaches the deep things of God. why don't you listen to someone who KNOWS the Bible,like Dr. John MacArthur Jr. or Dr. David Jeremiah. your Dr. Murray is not sound in his teachings.
Why not study under someone who acutally understands the Bible. Oh, say someone like Dr. David Jeremiah or Dr. John MacArthur Jr.
I have studied with sheperds chapel for 8 years now; and am still thankfull to God for leading me to the chapel. I began to read the bible at about 10 years old. I was never forced to go to church; I went to church when it pleased me to do so. And for a long time I carried the same views as most of mainstreem Christianity. One day I was leaving work and heard Arnold Murray teaching on the T.V, It stoped me in my tracks and I was drawn to it. Of course hearing things that I have never heard, made me doubtfull. I began to search out the truths of what was being taught; I was unable to dismiss anything. In fact I felt myself being more enlightened every day. A true spirtual food; that I could not get enough of. I'm not trying to put Arnold Murry on a pedistool; For It's Gods Word that edifies. Arnold Murry himself, consestantly reminds his listeners not to just believe this man or the next without checking them out in our Fathers word. For you critics; actually you know what, I'll leave that one alone and just let the chips fall where they may. Borrowed that from a friend. A simple suggestion to any one; Dont just read the bible; study It. Dont so blindly trust in the traditions that has been taught. And ultimatly pray to your Father for understanding with a sincere heart and it will be given.

I think once you start studying with Dr Murray you cant stop. I've been studying for about nine years now and regret I didn't find Shepherds Chapel sooner. I've tried going back to the super preachers but they all seem like a joke now. Oh well...that's my two cents.
It is refreshing to listen to a Pastor that loves our Lord and Savior and who teaches God's Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Pastor Murray, may God continue to bless you.

There isn't any reason to waste your time with the non-believers. Remember? preach the truth, bring one and if need be then two witnesses. If then they believe not, then depart from them and cast not your perls before swine. This is what I said... If you read Gods Word, then you too can find a witness or two that will say "yes" what I said is written in the Word. I just used the two of them together to prove my point...
And finally, here is my point:
All those who preach against Brother Murray and his way of teaching Gods Word, do so for one main reason. They have all been spoon fed one verse at a time which had consumed their entire study service for that week. They then went home, put their Bibles on the night stand and left it there till the next week's service. They got used to the fact that they were taught that they didn't even have to read the word because they wouldn't even be here at the time of the 6th trumpt. Now, here comes brother Murray, who by the way wants you to do the research for yourself. Of course they are going to hate him. Now they are about to see that their God wasn't going to be too happy with them if they didn't bother to get up off the couch and do the work themselves. This just ruined their entire lifestyle...
I truly LOVED what our brother who is Greek said... I too brother have gotten all of Bullingers works and even a few others to prove his works, and yes, like you told that brother, Pastor Murray is very acurate in his teachings. He got me into the Greek and Hebrew studies to prove the very word that all these others say doesen't even exsit.
When I heard that one brother screaming in Caps about all of that man maid nothings, I just fell back in my seat and prayed for him...
It all just means my brothers, that those who are yellings about how wrong Brother Murray is, are all just those who NEVER even READ God's Word anyway. Most acuately the Greek and Hebrew along with the KJV...

I started studding with Pastor Arnold Murray on The Shepherds Chapel a little over 4 years now! Getting to know GOD is like meeting your future husband!! All you want to do is talk to HIM and get to know everything about HIM!!! You think of HIM with everything you do through the day!!!! While talking with others HE is at the top of your discussion!!!!! When you are not around HIM, you count the seconds tell you can be together again with HIM!!!!!! GOD is the love of my life!!!!!!! HE continues to lead, guide and direct me through HIS knowledge, wisdom and Understanding!!!!!!! Through the HOLY SPIRIT I have the peace and comfort, that I knew not, just 5 years ago!!!!!!!! You have to take anything anyones says about what's in the Bible with a grain of salt these days. Mr. Murray's technique is okay as long as he keeps his head in the Companion Bible he uses. Once he lifts his head out of the Bible, you never can tell if what he's telling you is the truth or not. It shouldn't take someone 15 minutes to give his opinions on what only one verse says. It's a waste of time, except if he sights Moffatt's or Smith's Bible dictionaries, or expounds on Bullinger. I like it, except that he gives too much of what he thinks instead of what the Bible actually says. He makes too many mistakes reading, also. Evidently, he isn't up-to-date on the latest in technology. Scientists discovered that all people come from a single mother, called Mitochondrial Eve.
Also, Pastor Murray thinks that the Bible is addressed to everybody. Most of it is addressed to the children of Israel. The church epistles are addressed to Christians. Some of the Bible is addressed to Gentiles. He is incorrect to tell people that the whole Bible is addressed to one group of people - Caucasians.
He thinks that Caucasians are the children of Israel. A simple DNA test can verify that. Some Israelis found a community of Ethiopians who were practicing the Hebrew Scriptures to the letter, and had been for thousands of years. The Israelis performed DNA tests and found out that they shared the same genetic marker on their Y-chromosomes and embraced the Ethiopian community as brothers. So, if Pastor Murray is an Israelite, he should document it by producing a DNA test that matches those of the Israelis like the Ethiopians. If the Jews in Israel actually thought there was some inkling of a chance that Caucasians in the US are related to them, they would have been over here doing their own DNA tests, at their expense. You know they are looking for the Messiah and so far they are only able to find people in Israel with only 25% of the required Judaen make-up of genes.
Another thing Pastor Murray doesn't understand is genetics. He explains that the races were created on the 6th day because it's impossible to have different races come from only two people. Well, what about flowers? They're different colors, aren't they? So are birds, cats, dogs, etc. What about the discovery of Mitochondrial Eve, the mother of everybody on earth that science lately discovered? Besides, "is there anything too hard for God?" That last phrase comes from the book of Genesis.
Cain married one of his sisters. It could happen because sin hadn't polluted the human bloodstream that much with so many recessive genes. Abraham married his sister, Sarah. Isaac married his sister, Rebekah. It can't be done in this day and age because of recessive genes that would produce deformities.
That first earth age baloney Murray teaches sounds a lot like "reincarnation." Why don't I remember anything from "the first earth age?" SC is not for the gullible and the lazy. You have to do a lot of checking to be able to tell truth from error. A lot of people write in to his show asking questions that a simple concordance would answer. If you can't use a simple concordance, you don't need to be listening to this guy. You'll get all mixed up.
Pastor Murray tips himself off as a fraud whenever he uses the phrase, "in other words." God doesn't need Pastor Murray or any one else to interpret the Bible for Him. Don't you think that God can write a book that He can explain to people Himself? Men write science and math books that explain themselves. The Bible interprets itself. If you read it long enough, it will explain itself, sometimes right in the same verse. Yes, it will say the same things twice, or more, in different terms. It's actually a vast Dictionary, if you have a good concordance you can figure out most things on your own. And, you can't be lazy about it.
And, another thing: Why won't Pastor Murray let his son, Dennis, do a lot more teaching? Even though he parrots a lot of his father's idiocy, he still deserves a shot at teaching a lot more of the Bible. His hair is almost as gray as his dad's. I would advise him to start his own teaching mininstry before he gets too old himself.

Shepherd's Chapel is the only place I have found Truth. When I study with the "Chapel" my soul sings. I still don't fully understand all of the teachings yet, I'm praying and studing on my own for the understanding of everything I hear. The question answer session is awesome. That is what first drew me to listen to the program. I pray that my spoust and family will have eyes to see and ears to hear and not be "turned off" by the truth! I am now looking for a study group with like minded people in central Mississippi.... I'll check often for posts regarding this.
Hi, Thanks for this site. I've been 'paying attention' to Pastor Murray for a few years now though haven't studied in depth like alot of people here have. I don't sleep well and end up watching him in the wee hours of the morning. I'm travelling all the way from the WEST coast cross country and hope to visit the area and attend some church services in early Dec. I love Pastor Murray and like him, have never really believed in the 'rapture' theology as a Christian.
I started watching the Chapel around the time of the Gulf war. We all were worried about the end back then! Pastor calmed my worries by telling me the truth about the Rapture. I've watched Paster Murray age and teach better and better. I have seen another TV pastor change the way he teaches. ( He no longer preaches the Rapture! hallelujah!!
The Shepherd's Chapel isn't about anything except The Word! The man reading the book has been obviously been given the wisdom ( From Father ) to read The Word in a way that compels individuals to get closer to Father!! Those of you that don't want to be part of Shepherd's Chapel need to stop your ranting against something you obviously know nothing about and move on.

What is all this worry about credentials and all? That's merely a piece of paper by another HUMAN! Who checks out where they learned from?
Pastor Murray teaches Gods word, not his! He has been doing it for a half century, working for the Lord and knows the consequences. The question is, do the others? He is human and I'm sure he has made mistakes. They all have and some of them has been misleading people, thinking that is merely another perfession, away to avoid taxation, with no consequences. I'll pray for those the most!

Pastor Arnold Murray teaches Biblical truths. Which many oppose. Why, I don't know? He is for real, not a fake nor a cult leader. I want to ask him what he thinks of the God given Cannabis plant and the scientifically proven medical efficacy of the Cannabis plant. This will find out if he is real or just another blind conservative. Frankly I hope & pray that he accepts the God given Cannabis plant and recognizes its medical benefits. Especially when compared to the dangerous and addictive effects from the opium poppy and drugs derived from it. FACT: I have a disease called Diabetic Neuropathic Gastroparesis. Whats that you say? It means I have a Parlyzed Stomach. Which means your stomach and digestive system are comprimised by dead nerve endings in the stomach that help to digest the food I eat which means your food will not get fully digested so you have to be careful not to eat foods that are hard to digest like raw vegetables. Symptoms of Gastroparesis are delayed stomach emptying which causes chronic nausea, vomiting and weight loss. If I can get Pastor Murray to support Medical Marijuana for God created Cannabis and God can not do/make Evil, therefore the Cannabis Plant is a Blessing not Evil as the U.S. Government has stated since the early part of the 20th Century.

To the Deacon's post. How did you get the diagnosis of Diabetic Neuropathic Gastroparesis? I know someone who has similar symptoms and is wasting, concerned she is dying. I there a test? I happened across this post researching Dr. Murray's teaching of the "Song of Moses". I learn a great deal from Shepards Chapel. I think his teaching is sound and his love of Gods word evident. My huaband and I started listening to Shepherd's Chapel in March 2011. I lost my husband July 27,2011 in a motorcycle accident. I believe pastor Murray has helped me keep living with the word of our Heavenly Father. I think we found Shepherd's Chapel when we did for God to help me. I do think God for Shepherd's Chapel.
