The party of "NO" is trying to buy this election with massive amounts of corporate money, much of which is from largely anonymous sources. They are trying to gin up some "enthusiasm" for their base by co-opting and backing the Tea Party wackos, who are well funded, but largely ignorant of the deeper issues facing us. Sound bites are not going to identify, nor drive solutions to globalization, the depression, the gutting of the middle class, health care reform nor energy policy.

Corporations are not people and they are NOT good citizens, because their motives are profit only, not the long term good of our country and its' people.

The republicans have failed to advance any meaningful solutions to our problems over the last ten years, beyond lower taxes and deregulation. The Obama administration has brought forward progressive solutions for health care, financial regulation and energy policy, and have been stymied by the right every step of the way. The repugs scream about fiscal responsibility, but were responsible for the largest bank bailout in history as well as two wars overseas, and never made a peep about how to pay for those.

We do not have to allow them to buy this election. If you are a Democrat, or identify with the party, get out and vote.

You Just Don't Get It

I love politics.

When I really want to get hyper, then upset, then disappointed, then suicidally depressed, it is greater to watch political jousting than the Super Bowl.

On the one hand, there is the right thing to do, and on the other, there is the politically expedient thing to do.

That is, that which is politically expedient for the politicians wishing to be re-elected, is what is right.

What buys re-election, of course, is money. Large corporations have it. You don't.

It is no wonder, then, that the politicians no longer serve the interests of the citizens at large. They serve those who pay their bills, i.e. the corporations.

Politicians--to a one-- serve several different interests. The least of these interests are those of the common man.

They serve their own interests. Corporate interests. Party affiliations. The powerful. The moneyed.

Politicians are at the root of the problem. Our Republic--the United States of America--was meant to be run by statesmen--NOT politicians...

I will never finish this post...

Corporations are NOT good citizens...

We the people must send Statesmen to Washington....

There are problems to solve, and we must employ creativity, ingenuity and backbone--as well as a vision that goes beyond the next quarter--in order to solve them.

Truther angers Unconverted Scientist

Yesterday, I was having a conversation with a colleague of mine at work, in which I suggested that he should "review the evidence for yourself." I had recommended a few youtube videos that I am fond of, which can be found if you search for 911 analysis, or 911 debunking. I was shocked to find him becoming angry, and then threatening me, saying, "I have friends who are over there in Afghanistan fighting so that idiots like you can have the right to talk bullshit...I don't want to hear another fucking word about this. If you bring it up again, I am going to make a complaint agaist you(sic)."

This intense reaction from my co-worker reminded me just why the truth has had an uphill battle regarding the facts of 911. Many citizens swallowed everything the government has told us about 911, and despite the lack of an open investigation, have chosen not to question the scanty evidence that the government has produced. Others have chosen to close their minds to the counter-evidence which is provided by the "truthers," and as my friend declared "I don't want to hear it...I don't fucking want to hear it." I asked him rhetorically..."What kind of scientist are you?"

Indeed, what kind of scientifically slanted mind does not "want" to hear, view and question the evidence for him/herself? Why have our citizens not asked questions and demanded answers to the contradictions, omissions and fabrications that taint the 911 Commission report? What kind of scientist does not question all of his or her assumptions, regarding evidence...i.e. where does this info come from, who said it, what motivations might the witness have to lie or tell the truth, what corroborating evidence exists which supports or refutes the evidence, and can I see the evidence for myself.

WOW. Consider what a closed mind it is that, when confronted with a view that differs from his/her own, threatens to complain, to threaten ones livelihood, rather than to begin to question ones own assumptions. I was trying to sound my friend out, to see what evidence he could produce that could make ME challenge MY own assumptions and conclusions about the evidence, and instead of a lively debate, I got silenced instead, by the threat against my job.

No wonder the truth has a hard time finding the light of day.

Anyway, I have come to agree with Mike Ruppert, who said, what would you rather focus on, the elephant that has already run you over, or the pack of elephants that is about to run you over(paraphrasing).

Corporate media entities are too beholden to the moneyed interests that own them to have your interests at heart.

Reporters do not ask the tough questions anymore, because they fear the loss of access to such places as the press room at the White House.

Editors pick and choose which stories to air based on the lowest common denominator, the "common" man, and the goal of delivering the maximum number of eyeballs to the advertisers. Wouldn't want to offend anyone by asking uncomfortable questions, or showing the uncomfortable realities, such as they did during the Vietnam war.

During the Vietnam "conflict" , the advertisers begged, please don't show any more dead bodies, cause it doesn't help us to sell cars. During the current engagement in Iraq, it was not allowed even to show the caskets of our dead soldiers arriving back in the United States for many years(I believe that the ban was recently lifted). But it shows you how far from reality we have come.

The very language has been used to alter reality, and it goes under the guise of political correctness. It's better to call a war a "conflict", the dead and wounded are now "casualties". But sanitizing the language does not change the nature of the beast. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter, and who makes the definition controls the conversation.

The United States has nearly bankrupted us, morally, financially and politically by fighting wars all over the world, not a single one of which is a war as declared by Congress, which alone has the right to declare war in defense of our people. We would save trillions just by pulling our forces back to legally declared wars and legally defensible "conflicts", but I am afraid that ending all the waste and abuse of resources that enriches so many of the already rich, and is funneled to so many black programs would not please the powers that be. While they feed at the trough, nobody bothers to even question why we let it be so, where all of the money really goes, and why the labors of the poor are so exploited, so little rewarded.

The bank bailout is just another example of this exploitation. The bailout of those who mismanaged their businesses would have been better spent on covering the needs of the great mass of citizens, the ones that create all of the wealth, but do not have health coverage, the ones whose wages have stagnated even as corporate profits have soared, and been victimized by rising commodity prices.

My only consolation here, is that the Corps have shot themselves in the foot, and are now suffering the low profits(ouch) that their own greed has fostered. In their short sightedness, they have raped the middle class upon whom much of their profits are derived, triggering the foreclosures and debt that triggered the failings of banks, businesses and much of the world economy.

I'm rambling, but, I say, you can't have it both ways. There must be equity within the markets, the sharing of profits which raises incentive to the many to produce more, to create more, to synthesize more, and some attempt to rationally to balance resources with consumption. Reward folks their due, enough to create even more wealth, but not at the expense of our health and our planet. When we grow, you grow. Balance now.

DON'T TAKE US FOR MULES, FOOLS

Dan Rather was unconvinced. Gary Sick was unconvinced. I was unconvinced.

That night, after a very long shift, I finally sat down to SEE the carnage that I had only HEARD about throughout the day, that terrible day, September 11.

I was unconvinced. The scientist in me jumped up to do an assessment. Why? How? WHO? Searching the visceral video evidence, I smelled a rat. Something just didn't make sense?!!

I had to go to bed. Knowing, as I did, that the pundits and panderers and newscasters would say, speculate and reveal things that would likely never be said again that first night, I set up a video tape in record mode.

CBS news and Dan Rather replayed the now edited and sanitized video clips of the planes hitting the towers, the towers falling, reactions of people on the street and in the blood banks, the actions following the attack on the Pentagon,etc.

It did indeed reveal many anomalies, inconsistancies, prejudices, and outright fabrications that went into making up the whole 911 LIE.

Many things struck me as odd and staged, as I reviewed this document which ran from approximately 9:45pm on September 11, 2001 to 3:45am September 12.

A short list...

Bin Laden was already the prime suspect, even as the White House spokesperson said that "There was no talk about retaliation, tonight...it is far too early for that, senior White House officials said(Some minutes after 10pm)."

An hour or so later, the White House correspondent (John Roberts?) declared that there was "we think" there is some "pretty good" evidence that points to Bin Laden. The experts parroted each other saying that, gee, who else could it be? This despite President Bush's declaration that he would start a "full scale investigation" to find those responsible.

Each video seems to show a different plane hitting the building, some are light, some are dark, some depict the plane banking sharply to the left just before striking the building, while others seem to show a controlled and level approach.

The building do not collapse, they explode/implode, as in a demolition. Many people on the street mention explosions, secondary explosions and bombs.

Even Dan Rather seems to become impatient with the sanitized "truth" that is being purported. Reading between the lines, you can sense this, as when he repeats "Troy" three times during the intro and outro of a story by a correspondent named Troy(I'll get his last name). He also slips words and phrases like "demolished" and "black as a crows wing" into his reporting.

An outline of my observations and thoughts....

LACKING EVIDENCE

* Some things that were alleged to have happened but were never proved:

Phone calls from the hijacked planes

Islamo Terrorists: The list of nineteen hijackers, which was never revised, contained the names of at least seven persons who were later found to be alive and well and denied being involved...

A Plane hitting the Pentagon an HOUR and THIRTY MINUTES after the Incidents had begun

Bin Laden involvement

That the towers collapsed due to fire and the structural damage, a mere 56 minutes and 104 minutes after they were struck, respectively...

Questions:

Where are the black boxes?
Where are the remains of the planes, the jet engines, etc?
Where are the films of the Pentagon being struck?
Where are the trials and convictions of any of the perpetrators?
Where is Bin Laden?
Where are the tapes of the cockpit voices from the FAA?
Why did building 7 at the world trade center collapse that day. Is it coincidence that this building housed the Secret Service, the CIA(?) and Rudolph Guilliani's emergency response command center, an office that he apparently abandoned early on after the events began to unfold?
How convenient is it that FEMA showed up Monday night, the night before 9/11, and were able to jump into action as the "disaster" unfolded?
Where was President Cheney(ooops, Vice President) while these events were unfolding? Where was Bush?
Why was the NORAD defense during the time between approx 8:15 when the first plane was hijacked, until approx 9:45 when the pentagon was hit, and why did the FAA take the blame in the end?
Why was the term "Ground Zero" applied to the site of the WTC, a term which had always previously referred to the sites of nuclear weapons explosions

Anyways, I missed that boat a long time ago. If it does not alarm you that the events of the day led directly to:

*the railroading through Congress and Senate of the "Patriot" act(riot act!) (greased with a few anthrax letters)

*the 'War on Terror" (terror is a tactic)

*war in Afghanistan (conveniently, they are the biggest producer of opium and heroin in the world, now that the Taliban is no longer eradicating the poppy fields)

*war on Iraq (conveniently located over one of the worlds largest remaining untapped oil sources)

*the conscripting of our National Guard folks (who were established to protect the states) to fight these wars overseas, thereby avoiding the protests that would have been generated by a draft

*the complicity of the corporate press and media in perpetrating this hoax on the American people, while avoiding all of the inconvenient questions about the lack of evidence, the lack of inquiries and investigations, which would have shed light on this event (9/11) and its' aftermath (war of terror, torture, illegal wiretaps)...

*the steady erosion of our Constitution and of our rights

....then kiss the American Dream goodbye, put it back to bed with all of your other dreams.

I don't mind being wrong, so I will continue my reckless analysis, and lack of adequate documentation, because, honestly, my computer is so old that is is difficult to pull up sources in one tab and write in another. Blame my impatience, lack of resources and laziness. You can vet out my opinions for yourself, and you will notice that I am more right than wrong.

Anyway, I like being a loose cannon. I sure don't inspire any advertisers, and I sure am not being paid, though I would be willing to consider any offers! Dreamer that I am, I believe that my time will come, and some day I will be able to afford a better computer and a better connection. Thanks for nothing, Comcast and ATT.

Remembering your interest . .

. . in the issue of warrantless wiretapping and domestic surveillance programs, I wanted to write to you with an update on recent Congressional action.

On February 12, I voted against the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Amendments Act. This legislation would have endorsed the Bush Administration's warrantless wiretapping program. I voted against similar legislation last year. I share your grave concerns about this program and its lack of oversight. This legislation also included full immunity for telecommunications companies that cooperated with the Administration's wiretapping program. Full immunity prevents these important constitutional issues from getting a hearing in the courts. Because of this, and because the legislation did not go far enough to protect the civil liberties of American citizens, I opposed the FISA bill.

The House of Representatives did not include immunity in its version of the bill, and President Bush has threatened a veto. As this issue continues to be debated in Congress, I will continue to fight for our civil liberties and to hold the Bush Administration accountable for its actions. An impassioned reply: I wrote...

Dear Ms. Stabenow,

Considering the long list of crimes that this administration has committed, it is way past time to impeach. I am particularly wounded by the crimes that took place on 9/11, crimes for which no one has been indicted or tried. I sense that it took only a few anthrax letters to stiffle any outcry from the legislature of our country, who might have sought a more unbiased investigation and demanded answers to the as unanswered questions about that day, and there are MANY. The means, motive and opportunity for these unprecedented crimes belonged largely to the Bush clan(false flags, anyone?). Yet the attacks of September 11 were used as justification for many of the further abuses of the administration, perhaps all. Like a broken record, the administration repeats "The world has changed since 9/11." We were told by the pundits that we would have to "balance the rights and freedoms with the need for security," an balancing act which, of course, will find us in possession of neither, as was stated by Ben Franklin?.

Beginning with these unprecedented crimes against our citizens, and running through the inadequate and biased investigation, the stonewalling of the same, the pre-planned invasion of Afghanistan, the war on Iraq based upon falsified intelligence, numerous signing statements, implementing torture as a policy, the illegal actions of the telecoms, the pardoning of administration convicts, the refusal of admin officials to even testify before congress.....I could go on and on. Our country has indeed changed. We have a decider, whoops, dictator in office, and a scoundrel as Vice.

It is long past overdue for such proceedings to begin. I don't care how long it takes, because there is no issue confronting the legislature or our citizens which is more fundamental to our country. Freedom is not some watchword, it is the concept which made our people great, led us to become the most powerful nation on earth, and led us to accomplish technological miracles. Our greatness is not based upon security. As an artist, I understand what it is to take risks, artistically, financially, and socially. What would our society be without such risk-taking?

There is so much more that I would say about this quagmire we have become as a nation. Subcontracting out our governments functions is wasteful and inefficient, whether it involves private armies like Blackwater(red flags, anyone?), the federal reserve or janitors. Creativity is subsumed to the demands of the dollar and we are all poorer for it.

If you want to prove that this country and it's ideals still mean something, than it is time to confront those who subvert the rule of law in the name of greed. To do otherwise is to prove to me and other astute citizens that this is a country of hypocrites, who talk the talk out of one side of their mouths about freedom while grabbing piles of cash with both hands, and harming anybody who threatens their profit stream.

Witness the war on drugs, even the war on hemp.... The needs of our citizens(renewable resources, agriculture, etc) are subsumed to those of very powerful petrochemical concerns. It is time that the citizens and their needs take a front seat to the needs of these selfish non-citizen entities. If you wish to see our country flourish in this century, it is imperative to begin addressing our concerns and needs first. The corporations can fend for themselves.

An aside..... It has not escaped me that as a young adult, I have worked for thirty years, hand to mouth, month to month, just to become bankrupt, while at the same time, our nation has hosted the greatest economic expansion in history....The corporations have profited from my hard work while I have struggled to pay the bills. Where is my reward? The profits came of of the sweat of my brow, off of the pain in my back, off of the blood from my fingertips, and what do I have to show? It is economic slavery.

Show that you care about the citizens, the young, the old, the powerless, the beasts of burden, then you will earn our respect and gratitude.

It's true, you know it. Hillobama, or Obillary or Obiwan kenillary or whatever you want to call it, is like a poor choice , and an almost sure lose lose proposition. Kucinich and Edwards whould both be decent choices after the Nancy Kerrigan act is over, cause sure as I sit here, it's a matter of time before some one aims for their knees in this campaign.
It is disheartening to see what has become of this country. Since the electoral college system was re-established. The choice is truly taken away from the voters.

BushCo have done a lot of damage to this country, not to mention several other countries, and it is going to take some taking back to give our constitution some breathing room, so that it may live.

This is largely the result of political pundits who come out of the woodwork at key moments to forment their views and to foist their false choices upon us( Terror: would you rather be "safe" or "free" ).

I just found this page. I hope I have time to read some of it before the electricity gets shut off for non-payment.

I am a failure.

I tried to sell my music, my band, my talent, my songs.

I tried to survive, putting all of my extra energy into my dreams, believing that my hard work, dedication, and vision would eventually "pay off" for me in life. How could a guy so brilliant, passionate and dedicated FAIL to be noticed, FAIL to be appreciated, FAIL to suceed where others had not?

I stayed true to this myopic vision, until the whole thing collapsed under the weight and concerns of the world, just making ends meet, survival.

I drove a cab for more than a decade. It was the most honest kind of work, the only job I could find to support me and my disabled wife, and my now young family.

In taking responsibility, I lived for all of these years at the edge of economic disaster, but somehow, almost miraculously, just when things looked darkest, something good would drag me out of the dive. God Himself must be at my side, guiding me, I knew. I just had to trust Him and all was well.

I don't know what has happened these last two years. I have fallen apart economically. I managed to be fired FOUR times, counting Savage Road Studio, though it was more like a divorce. My long time songwriting partner decided to stand in the way of success, instead of working for it. The studio failed, and I went back to work even farther behind than ever. What a yuck.

I guess the stress showed because two out of the next three jobs fired me for little more than my personality.

Now I am ruined. God did not step in to stop my slide. My friends, lowly like myself, could not help me find work. I live in the wrong town now, cannot sell my house(two years on the market).

Boo hoo for me. But I am truly screwed.

I guess I don't know what will become of me. This blog shall be history pretty soon.

I have enjoyed writing for both of you.

I hope my paranoia--which has probably been really the ruin of me-- will rub off on you, anyway. I bought you some of the alternative voices, or led you toward them through this blog. The powerful generally control both the wealth and the flow of information. We are lied to frequently and often. History has been changed to blind you to the truth.

I often think about doing more street performances. It has been fear of oppression, and also fear of failure that holds me back. I am made to feel unwelcome on the very public streets that are all that is bestowed us in this society. Free speech zones?!!!

If I do wind up in jail over this attempt to feed my family with all that I have left to give to society, will you please rescue my children? They do not deserve this. Be charitable toward them on behalf of me, in fairness and in honor to the artistic urges that I tried so hard to share with you, to convey, to represent...

I bit off more than I could chew. I also got the cold shoulder from the mass media and society in general, because my message was on behalf of the voiceless, the unwashed masses like myself, who--lacking the right connections-- were unknowingly doomed to failure.

And if by grace, you can help--you need a great songwriter or talent or star or passionate individualist-- am am calling loud and clear. I need help. HELP.

10. The U.S. military has absolutely no right, whether legal or moral, to be killing people who live in Iraq. It has no right to even be in Iraq. Why is this? Because neither the Iraqi government nor the Iraqi people ever attacked the United States. This fact makes the war in Iraq an optional one, not a necessary one.

To reiterate what should be obvious, the fact that the U.S. was attacked in 2001 does not give this country the right to attack and kill people who had nothing to do with those crimes. It is morally acceptable to go after criminals, but it is a crime to kill their families, their friends, their neighbors, or anyone else not criminally complicit.

9. Both political parties have pursued a foreign policy of aggression for decades, and where has that gotten us?

Our military is based in over 120 countries around the world. The U.S. government has spent billions and billions of dollars of our tax money to prop up dictators and despotic regimes. It has armed people such as Osama bin Laden and the "freedom fighters" in Afghanistan, Saddam Hussein, and Manuel Noriega, only to use military force to oust them later on. This type of foreign policy has driven people all over the world to hate us. Don't we have enough enemies yet? Isn't it time to say enough is enough?

8. Since this war began back in 1991, millions of people have been driven from their homes, injured, or killed. Considering this fact, I cannot be convinced that the Iraqi people are better off in any way.

7. In a free country, aggressive war should never be used as a tool of foreign policy. Using force to impose what American politicians consider to be a proper government for Iraq violates every principle of freedom which this country is supposed to stand for. This is not freedom for Iraqis

6. No one can convince me that kindness and charity are the primary motives in a war where hundreds of billions of dollars are forcibly redistributed from American citizens to the military-industrial complex; especially the weapons-manufacturers. Maybe something else motivates the war-makers. Could it be greed?

5. Like virtually every war, this war is being funded through the coercive method of taxation. The wealth of the American people is being forcibly transferred to the government and their corporate partners; the merchants of death. Just considering this one point, the war in Iraq is just as immoral and illegal as stealing from one person to give to another.

On top of this, taxation, deficit-spending, and the printing of money gives the government an almost unlimited source of funding. Thus, there is no incentive for the government to spend the money wisely, because it can always get more - from us. Conversely, the access to such vast wealth is actually an incentive to continue the war perpetually. The ability to grow in wealth and power is something that not many politicians have had the strength to resist throughout history. American politicians are no different.

4. The Iraq War is the polar opposite of any proper concept of self-defense. The United States is the aggressor and Iraq is the defender; plain and simple. This fact brings up some very difficult moral and legal issues for everyone involved. Thomas Paine may have summed it up best:

"Not all the treasures of the world, so far as I believe, could have induced me to support an offensive war, for I think it murder."

3. We fought in Vietnam to stop the "domino effect" of communism, but when the communists took over, the world didn't come to an end. We "saved" Kuwait from an evil dictator, but it's still run by a family dynasty that has no interest in liberty for the people. We waged war on Afghanistan to capture Osama bin Laden. Oddly, rights violations are still rampant and Afghani opium production has soared since the invasion. And then, of course, we have all the "good" done in Iraq.

This foreign policy of aggression and intervention, which we have seen grow in preeminence over the last century, just doesn't work. The politicians promise us peace; they promise us security; they promise us anything to get us to go along with their policies, but what happens? In virtually every situation, the intervention totally fails, or the "enemy" is replaced by another despotic regime. The U.S. government has caused chaos in Iraq, and the time for that to come to an end is now.

2. You don't bring freedom to people by waging war on their cities and towns, and you don't protect innocent people by killing innocent people. It is a crime to aggressively take the life of another person. There is no murder of innocent people that can be justified by claiming that it was necessary for the "greater good."

If you consider that to be the right way of handling the problems in Iraq, you more closely resemble Joseph Stalin's way of thinking than that of liberty-lovers like Patrick Henry and Thomas Paine.

And the No. 1 reason to get the U.S. out of Iraq...now...

1. The warfare state is, hands down, the greatest threat to liberty. In war, the government always claims the need for massive power, and it uses war as an excuse to expand its control over our lives in every way possible.

War, the politicians claim, "changes everything." They tap our phones, read our emails, monitor our bank accounts, and give us "free speech zones." They consider torture acceptable and imprison people indefinitely. They take our property, waste our resources, and threaten to spend our economy into oblivion.

Throughout history, even kings and queens have often failed to survive such disastrous governance.

The Constitution does not give the president the power to wage war without first getting a declaration of war from Congress. Although some try to claim that the 2002 Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF) fulfilled this requirement, it did not. All it did was transfer a Constitutional power - the power to declare war - from congress to the president. This transfer of power is a violation of the Constitution in and of itself.

Thus, the president violated the Constitution by waging war on Iraq without a declaration of war from congress. And, possibly even more important, everyone in congress who voted for the AUMF in 2002 violated the Constitution as well by illegally transferring their power to declare war to the president.

This is how the U.S. government has handled every war since World War II. By allowing the government to wage undeclared wars, politicians from both political parties have violated their Constitutional oaths repeatedly.

Whether you like it or not, the Constitution is not just a set of loose guidelines, it's the law. Now is the time to demand that our representatives in government abide by the law. We must stop allowing Presidents to drag us into wars, which they later claim we have to continue for years and years until the "job is done."

Read, absorb, be dismayed. The very debate has been stolen, all the lies are told until they are believed, or accepted with out any thought (one of the main purposes of propaganda is to give you the excuse not to think at all).

The costs to your pocketbook should get you upset. The costs to peace, security and the innocent bystanders of war should make you ill. The costs to our integrity as a nation and as a people should have you on your feet shouting. The lies should make you scream out the truth.

We are and have been suckered. When you figure out that we are taken for granted as "stupid" Americans(in large part because we have been lied to so much and indoctrinated in the war machine, as if we were on the side of right every time), too lazy to think about these things, let alone do anything about them, when you find out that you are no more than a barnyard animal to be taken to the slaughter---then maybe you will take action.

Self-preservation is only part of the picture. Civilization will go on with or without you, so, you would do well to think of somebody elses welfare, as that is what makes civilization possible in the first place. You? Your children? Your fellow citizens? Your fellow human beings? For whom does the bell toll?

Must read information. Retain with your brain and think. I remember when a friend dented my utter blind spot during the Gulf War. I was merrily remarking how US had won easily--with few casualties-- and he pointed out that there had been more than half a million casualties. Maybe more than a million, he maintained. Wha---?

He was correct in pointing out that the Iraqis were in retreat to Bahgdad, along the "highway of death" when they were bombed and killed by the platoon. The press trumpeted that the war machines had been decimated. My friend had pointed out that it wasn't just 'machines" that had been killed, but an entire army, which was in retreat.

Regarding created realities, has it occurred to anybody(rhetorical-I know some of us do) that Iraq is going largely as it was planned? If we had deposed the "dictator" and established a democracy in the Middle East--as the plan was told us-- there would be no need for 14 permanent military bases in the region?

Read about the latest Executive Order, an order that effectively would supercede the fifth amendment, causing you to forfit your property and freedom--without due process, on the word of a bureaucrat or three--if you or someone you know is accused of aiding or abetting "terrists." As with many of these legal wranglings(manglings?) the very definitions(or lack of them) leave the interpretation open to such gross abuse--not to mention our families and our "homelands"--so that instead of due process there is darkness, lack of accountability, and the further weakening of the very constitution of by and for the people.

the President, was sworn in to protect the constitution, did you know that? That is the job that he was running for. To protect the peoples Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I am a terible spler and badly blogr. I hope you don't mind, mr anonymous, if he shares some insight with y'all. He could be wrong, he could be right, he could be confused or a confuser. I'd have to investigate this theory, but it sounds logical. Call or write your sen/congr. Let them investigate.

I was so sure, until recently, that decent men must be willing to go to bat for us a'gain'st this WH. Even me--a guy that never knows when to shut up--I am not sure how loud to speak out, how high to sing. It's like the fear factor. There are new torturous tools to control with, and when they threaten-- I generally fall right in line, being the good little people pleasing puppy that I am. I can endure torture, but who wants to see their loved ones sjffer?

I just got a ticket last month(I've been out of work for two) for parking in front of my house on trash day. The trash truck had already come and gone, and I forgot. Well, I couldn't pay the $25. I was hopeful that I'd find work. I always pay my bills. Did.

Well, when that ticket went to default, it was up to $50 with a command to comply, and threats to take my license and put a warrant out for my arrest. Now, I owe no other outstanding tickets anywhere in the country, parking or otherwise! So tell me that isn't oppresive. Is the right of a MAN to transportation also exist in the constitution? But for $50 it's worth it to oppress a man. And forget our rights.

So, my loved ones freak out and borrow the money. Putting me on the hook to family members, delaying the inevitable cost. Shutting down my protest.

Zero Budget Initiative

Please call the Approrpriations Committees and ask them to zero-out the budgets. Once the budget it zeroed out in committee, the GOP will have to pass an amendment to add money back. Even if the President vetoes the bill, he still gets no money.

Please stop trying to reduce the budget after it leaves committee with DNC Amenmdnents which the GOP is blocking; turn the tables on the GOP: Make them pass Amendments to get any money.

Again, please call the Appropriations Committees and ask them to mark up the bills and put zeroes in it.

Encourage them to call the Appropriations Committees, Senators, and encourage them to raise these issues while the GOP is forced to filibuster.

As a longtime attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, I can honestly say that I have never been as ashamed of the department and government that I serve as I am at this time.

The public record now plainly demonstrates that both the DOJ and the government as a whole have been thoroughly politicized in a manner that is inappropriate, unethical and indeed unlawful. The unconscionable commutation of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's sentence, the misuse of warrantless investigative powers under the Patriot Act and the deplorable treatment of U.S. attorneys all point to an unmistakable pattern of abuse.

In the course of its tenure since the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration has turned the entire government (and the DOJ in particular) into a veritable Augean stable on issues such as civil rights, civil liberties, international law and basic human rights, as well as criminal prosecution and federal employment and contracting practices. It has systematically undermined the rule of law in the name of fighting terrorism, and it has sought to insulate its actions from legislative or judicial scrutiny and accountability by invoking national security at every turn, engaging in persistent fearmongering, routinely impugning the integrity and/or patriotism of its critics, and protecting its own lawbreakers. This is neither normal government conduct nor "politics as usual," but a national disgrace of a magnitude unseen since the days of Watergate - which, in fact, I believe it eclipses.

In more than a quarter of a century at the DOJ, I have never before seen such consistent and marked disrespect on the part of the highest ranking government policymakers for both law and ethics. It is especially unheard of for U.S. attorneys to be targeted and removed on the basis of pressure and complaints from political figures dissatisfied with their handling of politically sensitive investigations and their unwillingness to "play ball." Enough information has already been disclosed to support the conclusion that this is exactly what happened here, at least in the case of former U.S. Attorney David C. Iglesias of New Mexico (and quite possibly in several others as well). Law enforcement is not supposed to be a political team sport, and prosecutorial independence and integrity are not "performance problems."

In his long-awaited but uninformative testimony concerning the extraordinary firings of U.S. attorneys, Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales did not allay these concerns. Indeed, he faced a no-win situation. If he testified falsely regarding his alleged lack of recollection and lack of involvement, he perjured himself and lied to both Congress and the American people. On the other hand, if he told the truth, he clearly has been derelict in the performance of his duties and is not up to the job. Either way, his fitness to serve is now in doubt.

Tellingly, in his congressional testimony, D. Kyle Sampson (the junior aide to whom the attorney general delegated vast authority) expressed the view that the distinction between "performance" considerations and "political" considerations was "largely artificial." This attitude, however, is precisely the problem. The administration that Sampson served has elided the distinction between government performance and politics to an unparalleled extent (just as it has blurred the boundaries between the White House counsel's office and the attorney general's office). And it is no answer to say that U.S. attorneys are political appointees who serve at the pleasure of the president. The point that is lost on those who make this argument is that U.S. attorneys must not serve partisan purposes or advance a partisan agenda - which has nothing to do with requiring them to promote an administration's legitimate policy priorities.

As usual, the administration has attempted to minimize the significance of its malfeasance and misfeasance, reciting its now-customary "mistakes were made" mantra, accepting purely abstract responsibility without consequences for its actions, and making hollow vows to do better. However, the DOJ Inspector General's Patriot Act report (which would not even have existed if the administration had not been forced to grudgingly accept a very modest legislative reporting requirement, instead of being allowed to operate in its preferred secrecy), the White House-DOJ e-mails, and now the Libby commutation merely highlight yet again the lawlessness, incompetence and dishonesty of the present executive branch leadership.

They also underscore Congress' lack of wisdom in blindly trusting the administration, largely rubber-stamping its legislative proposals, and essentially abandoning the congressional oversight function for most of the last six years. These are, after all, the same leaders who brought us the WMD fiasco, the unnecessary and disastrous Iraq war, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, warrantless domestic NSA surveillance, the Valerie Wilson leak, the arrest of Brandon Mayfield, and the Katrina response failure. The last thing they deserve is trust.

The sweeping, judicially unchecked powers granted under the Patriot Act should neither have been created in the first place nor permanently renewed thereafter, and the Act - which also contributed to the ongoing contretemps regarding the replacement of U.S. attorneys, by changing the appointment process to invite political abuse - should be substantially modified, if not scrapped outright. And real, rather than symbolic, responsibility should be assigned for the manifold abuses. The public trust has been flagrantly violated, and meaningful accountability is long overdue. Officials who have brought into disrepute both the Department of Justice and the administration of justice as a whole should finally have to answer for it - and the misdeeds at issue involve not merely garden-variety misconduct, but multiple "high crimes and misdemeanors," including war crimes and crimes against humanity.

I realize that this constitutionally protected statement subjects me to a substantial risk of unlawful reprisal from extremely ruthless people who have repeatedly taken such action in the past. But I am confident that I am speaking on behalf of countless thousands of honorable public servants, at Justice and elsewhere, who take their responsibilities seriously and share these views. And some things must be said, whatever the risk.

He is alluding to the corruptness of corporatism, which has now pervaded every facet of our government, to the obvious detriment of patients very lives not to mention our nations' creativity. Can you imagine what millions of young "minimum wage" desk jockey could accomplish if they were allowed and encouraged to actually use their collective brains and intelligence to improve this country? Instead, we collectively are working so hard just to survive on the minimum wage scraps that corporate America throws us, that we are too tired to use what white matter we have left to even begin to catch the inherent conflicts of interest in this system, to smell the taint, to react viscerally to what is happening to us inexorably, all the time, to fix or change anything. Powerless to stop the train that is rolling us over.

So how do you stop a train that is rolling? You would (figuratively) practically have to throw bodies beneath the wheels until our collective weight could slow and stop "the beast."

The BEAST is the lies. We are lied to from the time that we are told that a new day begins in the middle of the night. We assimilate any number of "reasons" and "justifications" along the way, until we accept the big lies along with the little ones. We are blinded to the true causes of our downtrodden state. Capitalism points its' finger at US, i.e. if we don't make it, it's because of our weakness, inability or lack of desire. Caring for the very young or our elderly parents, illness, or being a victim to crimes, circumstances or dishonesty don't enter the equation. We are judged by our possessions. Money means access. Money means you have time to make the system act only in your benefit.

My conclusion, in part, is that we need to reclaim our country from the corporate elements that oppress us, deny our needs, and continually rob us of even our right to be well. Corporations should have NO vote in our system, it should be illegal to accept money for political actions from them, because they do not act as citizens, even while they claim the right of access to the political machine. There ought to be a law.

Think about it. INDIVIDUALS hide behind the CORPORATION so that they can escape PERSONAL culpability for their ACTIONS. If you knew that Mr. Jones over in SILVER TOWN had had your mother denied her medications, causing her early demise, you would gather a mob of pitchfork wielding townspeople, and you would pay Mr. Jones a visit. And the next Mr. Jones would think twice--if perhaps only about the humanity of his own mother--about letting somebody die for a few bucks.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has decided to abandon net neutrality and allow telecoms companies to charge websites for access.

The FTC said in a report that, despite popular support for net neutrality, it was minded to let the market sort out the issue.

This means that the organisation will not stand in the way of companies using differential pricing to make sure that some websites can be viewed more quickly than others. The report also counsels against net neutrality legislation.

I admit it…I was slow to join the impeachment bandwagon. I just foresaw a circus of epic proportions, with the established media connections to the Republican noise machine giving us the disadvantage in public sentiments, perhaps dooming the effort. But with overwhelming evidence of a complete disregard for the rule of law to the point of near sociopathy, it’s hard not to come to any other conclusion than it’s time to quite seriously put impeachment back on the table.

I love the comments sections of these blogs. They show what people are thinking and saying right now in response to events that are happening right now.

That said, I found this to be great reading, good food for thought. Read news+comments. Welcome to Web 2.0!

This article crystalizes the thoughts that I have been thinking regarding this administration. This is a MUST READ for every American citizen.

Side note; warnings similar to those that were ignored before 9/11 are being whispered almost daily, now. Be vigilant, and if you smell something fishy in your area, BLOG it, scream it, yell it out to all who will listen. This administration is now like a wounded--and therefore dangerous--animal, now, more than ever. If they indeed had a hand in 9/11--as I believe they did--we are in imminent danger of another attack(nuclear?), and ALL Americans will suffer. Martial law will be declared, and the internet may no longer be available for such discussions. Be vigilant!

Impeach!

" ABC News reported Sunday that a senior official with access to a secret intelligence report claimed “al Qaeda” is planning a “spectacular attack” in the United States this summer. One would think Cheney-Bush would wait until the summer or early fall of 2008 before launching the next goody, but doing it now would certainly rid themselves of any threat of impeachment. "

I have been trying to point out this very fact, that the war drums against Iran (See: Seeing Eys Lemmings "i run") have been drumming constantly and publicly, since at least early 2006. These folks do not start talking about a plan and then create a plan, they create the plan, and then start talking about it. Review the run-up to war with Iraq. Review the news this year, about Iran "meddling" in the affairs with Iraq, taking hostages, news that accuses Iran of sponsoring the largest of the attacks against our military in Iraq.

Note the three major warships in the Gulf, and how every terrorist incident is magically attributed to "Al Quaeda" which means "the base" aka an invention of US Intelligence. The bombs in London? Quaeda. Such "terrorist" attacks are timed to conveniently preempt thoughtful debate, and incite a knee-jerk reaction of fear on the part of the people. They are meant to be accepted without evidence as being a part of the great Al Quaeda conspiracy. Note that Public Enemy number one is not even on the FBI top ten list, as there has been no significant evidence that Osama(who?) ordered or carried out the 9/11 attacks. He would have been tried and convicted by now in absentia, had any such evidence existed. And he would have remained a priority of the administration. If the members are diverse. Swarms do not have a Federal Government. No one individual is in charge or tells the other members of the hive WHAT TO DO! They arrive at a CONSENSUS!

If the members are "independent minded". Swarms are not force fed Mainstream Mass Media, a force that obscures more than it reveals, and is obviously in the hands of the Corporations-- they who benefits most is they who communicates least. During the run-up to war in Iraq, for instance, reporters dutifully regurgitated the lies and misrepresentations without checking the facts adequately, without challenging the "prevailing wisdom," or by presenting some opposing views(usually in a negative light), and then presenting their coverage as "fair and balanced."

Be well informed about all of the candidates that are presented to you. Speak with your neighbors and co-workers, your spouse and your children about what you really desire in a candidate, and the right choice should emerge. Since the pols want the process to begin several years before the actual event, we should state our objections to each inadequate candidate, and the nature of those inadequacies well before it comes down to a vote. This may, indeed, identify and foster better qualified candidates from the get go, and perhaps eliminate some of the worse "choices" earlier in the process. See how that swarm mentality can work? Remember, we must reach a consensus within our political process(best we got, although I would love to ditch the electoral college, for a truly righteous result.) and to that end, we can and should be very verbal and communicative about the qualities of the candidates that we find acceptable or not. Then we could actually say that we had a choice.

You should be super aware of the games that get played with your head. For instance, ANY Republican candidate can be made to look "moderate" -- especially if they are standing next to Ann Coulter, for instance.

And it's always possible to really "throw the bums out" but it's also better to have never invited them in to the seat of government in the first place.

There are several "candidates" that shouldn't even be in the running, even at this early stage, so let's say it loudly and clearly, know what I mean.....?

Statement of President on Executive Clemency for Lewis Libby

From the President's speech on his commutation of Scooter Libby's "excessive" sentence:

"I respect the jury's verdict. But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive. Therefore, I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby's sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison.

My decision to commute his prison sentence leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby. The reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work in the legal community is forever damaged. His wife and young children have also suffered immensely. He will remain on probation. The significant fines imposed by the judge will remain in effect. The consequences of his felony conviction on his former life as a lawyer, public servant, and private citizen will be long-lasting."

The consequences of the further eroding of public confidence in our government, it's workings and it's legitimacy, and the integrity of public servants is even more long-lasting. His wife and children suffer at the hands of Mr. Libby's own actions. He should have thought about the laws he was sworn to uphold as a public servant AND as a lawyer, before he acted faithlessly in turning his back on his obligations to the American people. These are the kind of people who are despised for selling out our interests for their own. Thirty years in the can would not have been excessive for this abuse of the public trust and interest. We expect higher conduct on the part of our lawyers, and especially on those who public servants sware in their OATHS to uphold the Constitution in the execution of public affairs.

If we, the American people--and the jurors who meted out justice for those who abused the public trust--are ignored in our attempts to lay accountability on public servants for their acts on our behalf then our whole system is subverted.

Further, it is not the consequences of his felony conviction that affects his "former life" as a lawyer, and public servant, but it is his own faithless conduct of subverting the rule of law that he was duly appointed to uphold.

By changing the Scooter Libby's sentence, you, Mr. President are undermining public trust, the justice system, and the attempts of the people to lay accountability to public servants for their actions on our behalf. You are acting in a reprehensible manner, breaking the public trust, to lighten the consequences to one of your cronies.
The accountability for such actions must now be laid squarely at your doorstep, and you will ultimately pay the price in political capital.

You are contradicting yourself in saying that he was sentenced harshly in being punished based on evidence "never presented to the jury" re IIPA or EA. He is being punished for breaking the law, abusing the public trust, and for the secrecy of your administration, and it's constant attempts to elude public scrutiny of the actions that you folk are undertaking(no pun intended--we support our soldiers, but their commanders must act in an above-board and even-handed manner....they are dying for your lies and obfuscations) on our behalf. Without accountability, there is no trust. You have been caught too many times lying about your intentions and your actions. Mr. Libby's actions did not affect just one CIA agent, but the whole agency, or at least one important program which sought to provide reliable and actionable intelligence on the very nation to which you applied the nebulous document of "preemptive strikes;"

That Mr. Plame was subverted and Mrs. Plame outed in their attempts to bring you correct intelligence on Iraq, is inexcusable. You chose to ignore the sovreignty of another nation, and to go to war preemptively with that country, based upon intelligence that was contradicted by the evidence that Mr. Plame sought to provide in fairness to the process. These actions are inexcusable--they ultimately undermined our national credibility in the world, unjustly caused a war in a foreign land, deposed the leaders of a sovereign nation, and placed our soldiers in harms way, all based on lies, and contradicted facts. Thousands of soldiers have been killed, and worse, tens of thousands have been maimed, many more remain in harms way--all based upon trumped up intel, the truth of which the Plames sought to provide. Transparency in your decisions, and their rightness has been deply undermined by you and your administration's actions. The people should expect to see "heads roll" for such harm as you , the administration and Libby, have caused to the citizens and our interests and "reputation" in the world. Perhaps--since you wish to take it from off of Libby's head-- then it should be on your head. The people are outraged at your conduct, and you don't seem to be able to see what a hippocrite this decision makes you out to be. We the people call it treason.

You would have been much better off to let Libby swing for you. As it is, justice may yet be done.

In this environment, enough corporate cash funneled into just the right race can swing an election, or even tilt the balance of power in a state legislature.

TRM's Jim Ellis says his boss Tom DeLay hopes to create similar political action committees for other states. The only obstacle in his path seems to be Ronnie Earle. And it's an open question how far Earle's investigation will go and what if any prosecution will come of it.

Based on the scant public testimony to date, it appears Earle's case is strongest on the issue of in-kind corporate contributions. Even in 1905, General Terrell recognized the corrosive impact of this kind of corporate influence. At issue now is whether TRM and the TAB used corporate money for political work that benefited their respective PACs.

Still, it seems doubtful that Earle can expose the true architects of the machine. Some believe a prime mover behind it is Perry's chief of staff, Mike Toomey. He was a lobbyist for Texans for Lawsuit Reform, AT&T, and big insurance. His schedule shows a meeting with Tom DeLay on the first day of the legislative session. And Toomey was also paid a small fee by TRM, presumably for consulting.

"He's always got his finger in the middle of everything but he never leaves any finger prints," notes one business lobbyist, who compares Toomey to Kaiser Soze, the elusive, all-powerful character in the movie The Usual Suspects.

Toomey did not respond to several requests for comment.

Regardless of how far he gets, Earle knows what's at stake. In his closing arguments in one of the TAB hearings, Earle spoke passionately about a return to the days a century ago when groups like the Federated Commercial Clubs of Texas wielded undue influence.

"TAB will take us back to the future to that time when the robber barons wielded power," he said. "The lessons from Enron and these other corporate scandals is that we really can't allow corporate wealth to translate into political power without abusing the public interest.""

I can attest that this is indeed the case, regarding marijuana. My generation has always recognized this prohibition--and all prohibitions on drugs-- to be a hypocritical money grab from the elites, and a terror tool to be used against citizens. As soon as you admit having smoked a joint, the powers that be can categorize you as a "retard," undermine your credibility, and loudly proclaim you to be somebody that is easily dismissed with a word--stoner. Can you imagine telling the Supreme Court justices to "go have another drink" every time you disagreed with their decisions?

Here in Michigan, I have seen at least one square mile plot fenced off and topped with barbed wire, out in the middle of nowhere(well really at ecorse and rawsonville). This plot was fenced off some ten to twelve years ago, and though it may just be a preliminary step towards creating a new metropark, it also fits the description of an internment camp--you know--like the concentration camps that the Nazis were so fond of.

I am on my last financial legs, a condition that I can assure you has nothing to do with "laziness" but as an political outsider that has offended the powers that be, and has not bent to tyranny, yet, I have been ignored and shunned by the "corporate" marketplace for the so-called "media" in this country, instead of celebrated. As Prince said--we're getting tired, y'all. It is not true that we as citizens are unequipped for self governance, but the cost of living has just continued to grow unabated as the economy--for those at the middle or below--has shrunk. Every possible product and service has been comoditized by big business--with a great reduction in quality AND choice-- as small businesses have been swallowed or sunk. We have become increasingly beholden to corporations, even as they display no loyalty to us as individuals or as a nation.

An Open Letter...

Dear Citibank, Bank of America, and Chase,

You didn't care. Now yer foodood'ed and it's your own fault. You didn't care about America or Americans when you began extending huge amounts of UNSECURED loans to the our people. You didn't care about the human ecosystem--the one where the creative folks innovate--and the rich people steal and market the best of their ideas, and ignore the ones that don't have an immediately obvious ROI--like my music. You didn't care about common sense, when you encouraged people to "pay" for gasoline--or even McDonalds hamburgers--with your cards. You didn't give a flying f**k about the little guys who pay your bills when the idea of DOUBLING the payment rates from two percent to four was pushed--and passed--recently.

You didn't care that my accounts with you went back twenty years, in good standing, which must have showed a pattern of my intent to pay, to keep these accounts in good standing--and intent to pay more than the minimums. You bought my accounts out, then changed the terms, the rates and the rules. Suddenly, you didn't care to accept my payments on Saturdays. There was a windfall of fines and fees that YOU could get from tripping up your newly acquired customers, and the short term gain you could get by changing your rules was greater than your concern for the financial well being of your customers.

You didn't care to even ask my financial or job status as you expanded my borrowing power year-to-year, apparently based only upon my willingness to pay. I asked one of my cards to limit my ceiling, so that I would not go beyond my means, and it happens to be the only one that is now reasonably managable. The rest of you collectively offered me almost $60,000 worth of credit, when my income has rarely risen much above $20,000/year recently. I thought slavery was illegal, but it has just changed its' stripes.

When my finances began to turn south--due largely to your collective efforts to financially rape me--and I asked for a break from the interest rates on my cards that you had recently trippled(when you smelled financial blood in the water... based upon my credit reports, and you ALL decided to PILE ON) even though such help on the front end would have helped me to keep up with things. You couldn't help me then. Now that the payments have stopped coming in, NOW you want to help me! Ha ha ha ha ha. Yer f'oodooded' d.

You didn't care to create jobs in this country, to give back based upon what opportunities you had been given to Reap Huge Returns on your lending (sharking) operations, unless you want to count PrimeAmerica, but who would?

I remember when--under the stiltifying stagflation of the 1970's--people were saying "Twenty Percent Prime is a crime." When you slapped me with interest rates approaching or exceeding thirty percent, I began to think of you as criminals. I don't think that Mobsters charge even that much interest. Nevertheless, I am sure you are petitioning Congress right now for the right to go out a break a few legs....

In short, you have broken all of the rules of common sense and decency--and cared only about your own interests. Our dead and dying economy is laying in your bloodstained hands. Since, as your customer, I can feel the love(or lack of it), I am more or less inclined to return the love in this form, and in this forum. I shall not forget my countrys' treatment at your hands.

And now you want my house? What exactly is the meaning of "UNSECURED" to you? That is the whole point. You are like thieves, and your whole purpose is to end up owning everything in the country. With the help of the corrupted US gov't(which seems to be with you all the way) some wild speculation in hedge funds and other nebulous instruments, and the crash of the housing bubble that your banks funded, it shouldn't take you long.

So sue me, if you don't like it--but I'm done. I'm worth less than nothing---on paper. Thanks to you. You turned on me.

In the mean time, I'm mad, I'm loud, I've got a big mouth, and a big beef with you all. Blood from turnips, y'all. Three dollar bill y'all. Unsecured loans y'all. Land of the Free y'all. Home of the brave new police state, y'all. The AMERIKAN DREAM y'all....you've been had.

2008 Election Already stolen???

Writer examines issues of massive vote frauds used to steal the 2000 and 2004 elections, and the continuing intrigue that puts future elections in doubt. One scenario has huge numbers of minority votes from our SOLDIERS OVERSEAS not being counted because their address(Iraq desert) didn't match their registration address(home sweet home).

This is both believable and documented. Below this article are statistical reviews which show that exit polls differed from election results in surprising, even mathematically impossible ways, which show that the Presidents' probability of having won either election was near ZERO.

No surprises there. What are we going to do about it?

They seek to steal millions of votes, so the goal would be to register millions more voters to offset those stolen? Not sure if that works.

The evil is obvious. Bush "won" Florida with 537 votes, yet 180,000 votes (mostly minorities) were not tallied, with 2/3 projected to Gore. This would have had Gore winning Florida by some 60,000 votes.

By the way, the issues raised by the Attorney General Appointees firings which were removed from office were strongly correlated with these election issues. Some prosecutors were removed for NOT pursuing cases of "Democratic" party voter fraud, where such allegations were deemed unfounded. Others were rewarded offices after failing to pursue fraud cases that helped the "president" to be "elected."

I'm just pointing out that this article is a very important one, it raises many fundamentally troubling issues, and is a good starting point for thinking about--and hopefully acting on--this uncomfortable reality.

We have met (an) enemy, and he's got more money and power than us....and apparently, no moral imperative not to steal. Point: These guys are out to make money, and if their horse is running the empire, they stand to make ALOT of it. Haliburton, anybody? Enron? Slap on the wrist was their punishment, compared to the money they created for themselves, before everybody else bore the costs for their crimes. Oil companies have have been reaping record profits, while not opening a single refinery for decades, and pointing to supply problems as the reason for the doubling(tripling anybody?) of gas prices since Bush took the Office.

"In summary, we believe that the Fed should know that the housing market correction has been quite steep, and is also not showing signs of bottoming out," concludes JBREC."

Why would they lie?

1) To prevent free-fall of the market?
2) To shelter the rich from the full consequences of a free-fall collapse?
3) To artificially prop up the prices of homes as they re-enter the market?(Down 30%)
4) Their lips moved?

This is the end of the middle class in this country. The economy no longer creates jobs which a person can reasonably support a family on. Savings rates are at an all time low while personal unsecured debt is at an all time high. Just add some economic turmoil, (raise gas prices by 50%) shake the blanket a little bit, and watch all the mid-income families lose their shirts to the bankers. Oil prices have pushed us up against the wall, and we have no cushion to fall back on, not even our homes, which are quickly losing value, and are difficult to sell. My house has been on the market for almost two years, now, and the asking price is now just about what I paid for it seven years ago.

Economically, a home is supposed to be the best investment for those who have little money to invest. As usual, the economic ripples, sent forth by those who are ruining this countries manufacturing base(Rohatyn did Delphi to help auto industry to collapse) effects the lower end, pushing the "middle class" right out of our homes.

The system is set up for the rich.

The feds lie about this stuff, cause they don't want us to know how deeply the knife is embedded in our backs, because, it might cause a backlash at them, as we come to realize that their hands are on the handle.

"FDR Saved Homeowners from Foreclosure, Will We Listen?

May 15 (EIRNS)--A coalition of 115 California consumer groups, including legal aid groups, housing counseling services and economic rights advocates, has sent a letter to six major mortgage lenders, urging them to suspend foreclosures on home loans for the next six months, and to find ways to keep borrowers from losing their homes. According to the letter, sent to the CEOs of Countrywide Financial Corp., Wells Fargo & Co., Citigroup Inc., Washington Mutual Inc., Bank of America Corp. and Merrill Lynch, if the mortgage lenders don't act, hundreds of thousands of Californians who took on risky loans could lose their homes.

While this is the right intent, that is, to keep people in their homes, this approach is somewhat like asking the fox in the henhouse to be nice to the chickens.

As Lyndon LaRouche has stressed, the federal government needs to step in quickly and freeze all existing mortgages, so to keep people in their homes. Only the federal government is in a position to do this, and act as an effective barrier between the financial institutions and the general welfare of the public."

When I look at the faltering giant that was the USA, I think of the folks that bought into the "wisdom" that "what is good for GM is good for America." I see the evidence that corporations--purporting to be good citizens(and given such status against all common sense) really don't have the backs of even those workers who built the auto companies into the economic powerhouses that they once were. Pensions and benefits are on the chopping block, along with hundreds of thousands of jobs, and the infrastructures of the auto companies is to be auctioned off piecemeal, rather than saved as a necessary national resource--machine tools have the core capacity to build everything we depend on as individuals and as a nation.

Despite the radical measures which must be taken to save the banking industry from its' self-imposed insanity, and machine tool capacity which could be reused to rebuild and strengthen our national infrastructure, the gov continues to play war games instead, fiddling while the mortgage industry burns, a seeming death wish.

An acquaintance recently opined that for every Muslim we kill in Iraq, twenty more become our enemies, because of the social paradigm "an eye for an eye." It is worse, now that the run-up to the war with Iraq has been transparently revealed to have been based on cherry-picked, manufactured and just-plain-bad intelligence.

LaRouche PAC is a great place to read a different perspective about our national policies, the consequences of our short-sighted and corrupt politicians being increasingly beholden to the corrupting influences of the ultra-rich, and Nazi-minded synarchists.

I write passionately about this man and his ideas, because I have lived my entire adult life with the human fallout of these heartless policies, and with the political backstabbing that prevents real change in this country. I have watched the corruptors bring their unhealthy wares to market and force feed them to my fellow citizens (video games, prepackaged and fast "foods," cocaine.) I am half a step from bankruptcy, despite my hard work, despite my habit of rising early and working long hours, despite my "investment" in a house (all must have shelter) whose value is succumbing to the collapse of the housing market brought on by unencumbered growth of housing (but not housing for the middle class) over the last decade or two, and the secondary mortgage market(creating huge numbers of untenable loans.)

The poorest among us still fight our battles overseas--for the interests of large corporations--just more transparently than ever. Our children are forced to go to schools that are perennially underfunded, to learn--not natural principles which have tended to enrich all of mankind--but gov mandated requirements, so that they can learn to be good "corporate" citizens. It goes on and on.

My thoughts here are just the tip of the iceburg.

Shepards Chapel report still recieves most comments-after two and a half years

Amazingly, two and one half years after I posted a blurb about the Shepards Chapel, it continues to be the most commented post on my blog.....

Now, perhaps some subjects don't require a reply, perhaps I need to work at writing better headlines. In the neam time I have written about a huge variety of topics ranging from--hey--Monty Python, Lyndon LaRouche, Prohibition, Illuminati, Conspiracy Theories, BBC, and Web 2.0 stuff.... And the Seeing Eye Lemmings.

Amusingly, more than 95% of all comments come from somebody named Anonymous! Who are you, and what do you want?

However, before you slam my inbox with quotes from the Bible, let me be the first to say, Arnold Murrays knowledge of the Bible is outstanding, and his command of Greek, Latin and Hebrew, I am told is very good. These things are not up for debate--repeat, not up for debate. His knowledge is Excellent.

You regulars will have to admit, though that he spends a great deal of time in between those verses expounding upon his "personal" views. He is a hawk, and his loyalty to the USA and the US Marines--admirable in and of themselves--is writ large on his sound stage. God and country. Fine, but his personal opinions and his loyalties are all mixed up and entwined--despite his disclaimers-- on his Bible study show. And, tell me that he was not a cheerleader for the Iraq war.

Anyway, I haven't decided if Arnold Murrays' church isn't a sort of brainwashing cult. Nor have I come quite to conclude if he really represents come sort of CIA social conditioning scheme, a sort of honeypot that draws in the true "fundamentalists" and programs them to think in certain ways and terms that are easily identifiable should one ask about their beliefs. I would not be surprised, some of you would, I gather. It would explain why certain parts and precepts of Arnolds belief system seem out of place and "wacko", even to practicing Christians. Those who absorb and believe the more outrageous stuff, then would sort of stick out, and their attitudes could be correlated with the source of such crazy statements, hmmmm?

Open your eyes, now, and your ears. Are you strong enough to think for yourself, or do you suck up every tidbit that the trainer feeds you because some of the grain is good?

Who benefits the most from prohibitions and "control of substances?"

Since supply and demand determine the prices of commodities, what does the stability of prices for substances on the black market indicate?

Iran/Contra is instructive.

Where did all of that cocaine end up? On the streets of our inner cities, courtesy of largescale smuggling by agents of the US, perhaps CIA?

Since US benefits the most from the prohibition(on one side) and from the illegal trade(on the other), perhaps one could infer that the anti-drug messages were meant to increase the demand side of the equation, because, after all, with another million or two addicts there will be an increase in business on both sides of the "war on drugs".

When the citizens identify the addiction to open-ended "Wars" to be the real bane to society, we will take back this country, but in the mean-time, the average citizen is blinded to the truth, intimidated if they know the truth, and easily discredited if one holds or excercises the opposing views.

It is a continuation of the shamesless plundering of America and her peoples, by soulless, mad-rich corporate entities who wish to cow us into being good little corporate slaves. To paraphrase Bob Marley, people who free their minds, don't make good slaves.

I am an artist, a creator, a guy that spends a lot of time FEELING about the ways and byways of life, trying to make sense, turning it to art. I am pained by unabated signs of racism, unending states of war, and political intrigue that are really symptomatic of a deep spiritual sickness in our country, and in our world. The most prevalent one, is disconnect.

Are we the people so addicted to sex and video games that we don't care or don't see what is going on? Are we so polluted by de-powering suggestions that we no longer can or will fight for our true way of life, the ideals upon which this country was founded?

So here I am, a frustrated artist guy. I only have so much time to create art, "market" art, and try to actually survive in a maimed Michigan economy with no one to rely on but myself. I have an album, that I have shrilly and embarrassingly tried to hawk on the net. I am not a marketer, yet, and my amateurish attempts have been mostly ignored, despite the products strengths and marketable attributes. I do tend to shoot off my mouth, in a passionate--but immature-- way about such things which inspire me. At times, I have been guilty of speaking before thinking.

Am I being rebuffed in my attempts to get my new CD into Borders Books (they haven't even replied to my several inquiries over the past five months), to Apple iTunes (four months, anybody home?)??? I have been generous, in giving a few hundred copies to random acquaintances --because they had the potential to spread my new album across the globe.

The album is a home studio recording, which is a great part of its personality. Yes, there are imperfections on my album. There are two lightening glitches (minor and fixable) that I managed to send out on the master of the "limited edition". This should not be a show stopper. If you realized that 100% of the work that it took to get this album from the recorded mixdown cassette tape, to this salable CD (potential employers: please take not), was accomplished soley by one person, then it might become obvious to you all that I am overextended, spread very thin and tightly, and way too freaking honest for my own good.

I am over my head. I need some help, over here in Michigan. I need some of you independent minded folks who love indie music, want to work on something artistically satisfying, to contact me regarding where to go from here. This art is too good to sit in a closet. I have a lot to offer-which is exactly what I need right about now.

911 Indide Job--"Biggest and Most EVIL cover-up in history"

London, Sept 6 (ANI): On the eve of the fifth 9/11's anniversary, a group of leading US scientists have arrived at a conclusion that the attack was planned by a group of US neo-conservatives to justify the invasion and the occupation of oil-rich Arab countries.

Calling it an "inside job", around 75 top professors and scientists of various universities in the US under the banner "Scholars for Truth", have said that they had enough evidence that points to one of the biggest conspiracies ever perpetrated in the US.

They believe a group of US neo-conservatives called the 'Project for a New American Century', set on US world dominance, orchestrated the 9/11 attacks as "an excuse to hit Iraq, Afghanistan and later Iran". The group says scientific evidence over the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon is conclusive proof.

Their claim has caused outrage and anger in the US, with many believing that it was just like one of the numerous conspiracy theories that come forth after every major crisis, like the assassinations of JFK or Martin Luther King.

Professor Steven Jones, a physics lecturer at the Brigham Young University, said that the official version of events was the "biggest and most evil cover up in history".

"We don't believe that 19 hijackers and a few others in a cave in Afghanistan pulled this off acting alone. We challenge this official conspiracy theory and, by God, we're going to get to the bottom of this," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

According to Professor Jones, it was "impossible for the twin towers to have collapsed in the way they did" from the collision of two aeroplanes. "Jet fuel does not burn at temperatures high enough to melt steel beams and claims horizontal puffs of smoke seen during the collapse of the towers are indicative of controlled explosions used to bring down the towers," he added."

Just in case you have never heard of these fact and theories, do not dismiss these assertions "out of hand", but please review the evidence for yourself. If you do not conclude that the 911 commission was a whitewash, if you do not conclude that a bunch of mid-eastern rebel "cave-dwellers" COULD NOT have pulled this charade without a massive standdown of the forces which normally protect this country(and especially Washington DC), if you do not conclude that the motives for the largest crime in American history(who benefitted?--the NeoCons with their unlimited Global war or the former "Cave dwellers" who "hate our Freedoms" met the MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS for their trouble?) point to US--not THEM?, then I want to hear why?

WASHINGTON — Angry lawmakers on Friday threatened to amend the USA Patriot Act and limit the FBI's powers in the wake of a disclosure that agents had improperly obtained confidential records of people in the United States.

A scathing report issued Friday by the inspector general of the Justice Department found widespread problems in how the FBI has used a form of administrative subpoena — known as a national security letter — to gather phone, bank and credit information on thousands of citizens without court oversight.

The problems included the issuing of letters that circumvented Justice Department rules and regulations; in addition, the report found a record-keeping system in such disarray that annual reports to Congress substantially understated the number of subpoenas the FBI was issuing.

The inspector general also disclosed that the bureau had an unusual contract with three phone companies to provide call records and subscriber information without legal process.

The revelation was a major embarrassment for the FBI, which had vowed to use its investigative powers carefully when Congress reauthorized the Patriot Act last year."

Remember that an Anthrax attack a week before the vote on the Patriot act? Seems that we are no closer to finding this "Democrat Killer" than we are to finding Usama bin Laden. And after this nefarious legislation passed, no more anthrax attacks...hmmm. The fact that it was Weaponized, and of a strain used by US military, indicates an insider job, but despite the obviously limited number of people who could have gained access, somehow five years has elapsed, and no charges have been brought. Why does this sound like an inside job? Our Government?

CALLING it the "Patriot" act was another manipulation of our legislature, used to stifle the proper debate in a time of a national crisis. After the attacks of the fall of 2001, it would have seemed un-Amercan to vote against a "Patriot" act. Please recall also, that many legislators signed the bill without reading, a practice that Conyers said was "common".

Even with such an act in place, the FBI still couldn't be bothered with going through proper channels of authorization before procuring private data on US citizens, by the bushel-basket-full.

Impeach!!!!

Meantime, as I will elaborate in my next post, be on the lookout THIS MONTH for those who would launch the next round of US attacks, which would conveniently be blamed on IRAN just in time for action to be taken "BEFORE SUMMER" sands start to blow(oops, is IRAN still the desert?)

"It passed in Jericho, the hometown of House Speaker Gaye Symington. It passed in Hartland, the hometown of Congressman Peter Welch. It passed in Middlebury, the hometown of Gov. James Douglas.
In all, 38 communities passed resolutions at their town meetings calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Twenty-one towns also approved a resolution calling for an end to the Iraq war. Symington, Welch and Douglas can no longer say that there's no public sentiment for impeachment, not when their respective town meetings all voted in favor of it.

And our senators in Washington, Patrick Leahy and Bernard Sanders, can no longer run and hide when the subject of impeachment comes up.

The list of "high crimes and misdemeanors" that rise to the level of impeachment of Bush and Cheney is long. But the main offense, according to numerous opinion polls, that a majority of Americans say warrants impeachment is if it could be conclusively proven that Bush and Cheney lied about the reasons for going to war in Iraq.

That shoe dropped on Tuesday, with the conviction of former Cheney chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby on charges of perjury, lying and obstruction of justice.

I would suggest that the concept of delegitimation should figure importantly in our reflections. People who have acquiesced in the actions of a government may be persuaded to withdraw their support and even to move into active opposition by evidence that those actions have been ill-judged, rash, or unprincipled. But evidence that a government has acted in ways that unambiguously violate the state’s foundational covenant—in this case the US Constitution and Bill of Rights—and that unambiguously sunder the ruling elite’s claims on the consent and loyalty of citizens and the obedience of state employees, whether civilian or military, cuts much deeper. What is at stake in this case is the legitimacy of the governing elite—and also, to the extent that people can recognize that elite’s declinations from the nation’s foundational democratic principles as systemic in nature, the legitimacy of the system of corporatized governance that has made it possible for such people to acquire and exercise power.

Since regular visitors to websites like Globalresearch.ca, ColdType.net, or Counterpunch scarcely need to be told of the many ways, from electoral fraud to the abolition of habeas corpus, from unconstrained mendacity to military aggression, in which the administration of George W. Bush has demonstrated its illegitimacy, I’m not going to rehearse them all here. But the evidence that on every key aspect of the events of 9/11 the Bush administration has lied, and that the official version of what happened on 9/11 cannot stand up to critical inquiry, does not simply necessitate the development of alternative hypotheses: it also provides what must be one of the strongest and most inescapable arguments against this regime’s legitimacy.

For if the emerging evidence of what happened on 9/11 is cogent enough to stand up in the face of the most rigorous critical examination—and a large part of it demonstrably is—the consequences for the legitimacy of the Bush government are quite literally shattering. If the government merely facilitated this terrorist atrocity through neglect or incompetence, then it abdicated its primary responsibility to protect the lives and property of its citizens. But if the evidence drives Americans to suspect that senior government officials may have been active parties in the catastrophic events of 9/11, and quite possibly their primary organizers as well as their most obvious beneficiaries, then the truly appalling possibility is raised of a treasonous perversion of state power resulting in mass murder. One might well argue that only an independent and bona fide criminal investigation could determine whether the evidence supports such a hypothesis. But it should be evident that officials whose actions are believed by large numbers of people to merit criminal investigation are well on their way to losing political legitimacy." ---

""We live in a time of great school crisis linked to an even greater social crisis. Our nation ranks at the bottom of nineteen industrial nations in reading, writing, and arithmetic. The world's narcotic economy is based upon our consumption of this commodity; if we didn't buy so many powdered dreams the business would collapse - and schools are an important sales outlet. Our teenage suicide rate is the highest in the world, and suicidal kids are rich kids for the most part, not the poor. In Manhattan, seventy percent of all new marriages last less than five years. So something is wrong for sure.

This great crisis which we witness in our schools is interlinked with a greater social crisis in the community. We seem to have lost our identity. Children and old people are penned up and locked away from the business of the world to a degree without precedent; nobody talks to them anymore, and without children and old people mixing in daily life; a community has no future and no past, only a continuous present. In fact the name "community" hardly applies to the way we interact with each other. We live in networks, not communities, and everyone I know is lonely because of that. School is a major actor in this tragedy, as it is a major actor in the widening gulf among social classes. Using school as a sorting mechanism, we appear to be on the way to creating a caste system, complete with untouchables who wander through subway trains begging and who sleep upon the streets.

I've noticed a fascinating phenomenon in my twenty-five years of teaching: that schools and schooling are increasingly irrelevant to the great enterprises of the planet. No one believes anymore that scientists are trained in science classes or politicians in civics classes or poets in English classes. The truth is that schools don't really teach anything except how to obey orders. This is a great mystery to me because thousands of humane, caring people work in schools, as teachers and aides and administrators, but the abstract logic of the institution overwhelms their individual contributions. Although teachers do care and do work very, very hard, the institution is psychopathic; it has no conscience. It rings a bell and the young man in the middle of writing a poem must close his notebook and move to a different cell where he must memorize that humans and monkeys derive from a common ancestor. "

I must apologize to my audience(if I have one left). My tone of voice has often been shrill, when I intended to sound passionate. My observations were often intended to be wry and sarcastic, but came off sounding mean-spirited and crass. I have undermined my own credibility by shooting off my mouth(fingers) without thinking about the consequences of my actions. When the Spirit moves me, I move, that's what I like to say. It is true that we do not always move according to the Holy Spirit, and I pray that I have not led anybody astray. Some of the materials my blog pointed to are somewhat subversive, spritually. My intent is normally to encourage critical thinking on the part of the reader, but I am increasingly aware that we are not using our critical facilities as fully as we could, often enough, that spiritual and intellectual pursuits are not always the same, and that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I have found that, as much as I want to participate in the great debates of our times, it is easy to dismiss people like me as having little to contribute, having less than comprehensive solutions, being unoriginal. I am largely in disconnect with those around me, philoshophically, by lack of proximity, by enslavement to my work, and ensnarement by my dreams. You know about the Seeing Eye Lemmings! My attempts to shout from the rooftops have been immature, ill-recieved, and largely ignored. I am embarrassed at times by my own idiocy, rudeness and ignorances. Like Rocky Balboa, I just keep getting off the mat. Whoever gets up the most times wins.

It is true that it takes some backbone to oppose those who use intellectual wrongness--wrapped in self-righteousness--to shower the timid with disdain. Schooling has limited our contributions, fed us intellectual dishonesty, a fearful spirit, and a consumerist model for behavior which cuts to the bone of our humanity. The debates have been commandeered by the concealers, the deciders and the usurpers of our natural resources(bottled water, anybody?). We are led by hypocrites who foster prohibitions which the people largely oppose, such as those on "underage drinking" or on narcotics.

Not to mention, the fact that, as a nation, we have subsummed our individual rights and livlihoods to those of huge corporations that neither care about the long(or short) term benefits of the individuals from the communities they are served by. They serve their share holders, we serve them, and when the profit margins diminish(often due to the lack of vision and innovation that the top-down management style engenders) the corps show the workers the door.

For fear, we cannot speak out. For being shouted down by the loudest(and better educated) debaters, we are afraid to speak up. We know our government is broken, but to try to legally pull it up by the roots of its corruption, we might be labeled terrorists. People refuse to think of chimpeaching Bush, because they are afraid of Cheney(the man with the fucked up heart). As the industrialized nation with the highest percentage of incarceration, citizens are asked to build more prisons, so that we can lock up more of those non-violent infractors who have tripped over the prohibitions set up by the racist power-mongers who have instituted them for purposes of social control."

If a record company has a reason to exist, it has to bring an artist's music to more fans and it has to deliver more and better music to the audience. We'll still have to use radio and traditional CD distribution. Record stores aren't going away any time soon and radio is still the most important part of record promotion.

Major labels are freaking out because they have no control in this new world. Artists can sell CDs directly to fans. We can make direct deals with thousands of other Web sites and promote our music to millions of people that old record companies never touch.

We're about to have lots of new ways to sell our music: downloads, hardware bundles, memory sticks, live Webcasts, and lots of other things that aren't even invented yet.

If this doesn't give you a sick feeling in your stomach,... I tend to agree with Lyndon LaRouche. He explains how our Constitution was set up with certain "Natural Laws" embedded within it, such as the inalienable RIGHT to pursuit of happiness, which is based in our special status in the world as creatures who are made in the image of the Creator, higher than the animals for reason of our creative abilities, acting on behalf of God as we learn natural knowledge, and then synthesize new technologies, acting as little creators. We were supposed to subdue the earth(not one another) and its creatures, in order to promote spiritual paradise on earth(as the Lord would have it).

I also agree with LaRouche that this administration is full of thinly veiled Nazis, Neo Cons who think that they are above us, who are doing this country undoable harm, dismantling the auto companies and other means of production of goods, pushing our country and the world towards bankruptcy, with gambling and derivative funds, etc...., a smoke and mirrors economy. Do you think that we slaves , who have worked so hard to provide the rich with the highest standard of living in the world, while we are forced to steal bread to feed our families? Ever work at a restaurant that wouldn't even feed you? You TOO? Talk about heartless.

GONZALES: Well, sir, the fact that they may have talked about the constitutional right to habeas doesn’t mean that the decision dealt with that constitutional right to habeas.

GONZALES: It has been a while, but I’ll be happy to — I will go back and look at it.

First, it would not at all surprise me to see his prediction come true, as that is how the political winds are blowing right now(folks don't think Hillary or Obama to be electable next cycle). Writer doesn't say what he bases his prediction on, but last several elections have demonstrated how "might makes right" where the powerful can run off with an election, despite the popular vote of the citizens. You just lose a few ballots here, dimple a few chads there, discourage or prevent the poorest voters from efficiently casting their ballots, install (insecure/hackable) voting machines that the election officials don't know how to use, etc.

My purpose here is to reveal to you the huge chasm that separates the Christians from the Muslims, a heads-up to how the Arabic man-in-the-street attitudes towards US, Israel, and Rome, hold dim promise for resolution. If we are going to find resolution to this barrel of hate, we are going to have to grapple with these attitudes, their origins and roots, perceptions about our actions in the Middle East and elsewhere, or the fallout will certainly span several more generations.

This guy is so hateful that he insults Jews, Israel, Christians and even Jesus Christ. I am sure that if I said any thing nasty about Mohammed, I would be inciting a jihad, or a fatwa or something, so I am not sure how writer thinks this (or any other part of his writing) is constructive. It is certainly revealing, though. Let's use this document to be informed about the "enemy", how he thinks, what he wants, why he is so angry. Our goal should be to turn our "enemies" to "friends", to find some common ground, so that we may learn how to live with all of our brothers and sisters on earth in peace. The alternative is too destructive, and serves the interests of no one.

I know that it is tasteless to bother to respond to a negative review. However, the narcissist in me(wants to be loved, gets defensive when attacked) cares too much to let it pass. I want to clear up at least one misconception about which our reviewer seems clueless.

This group recorded most of this album on consumer grade equipment. Having three creative and adventurous engineers in the band, we decided to record our album as a DIY type of product- on cassette tape. Afterwards, the album--originally recorded to four track tape machines--was converted to CD. "Moonshine On The Indian", is the lone track which was recorded at a professional studio. What our album may lack in the "Hi-Fidelity" department, it more than makes up by being original, visionary, adventurous, and more or less "REAL"; comparing our album to a major release, despite its' indie roots, is like comparing eggs(us) to egg-beaters™(them). You want the real thing? This is IT!

Our reviewer has missed the point of this album altogether. Despite any other labels we invite(progressive, psychedelic, etc...) this IS Folk Rock! The songs are king, and the musicians, despite their prowess, are largely just getting out of the way of great, inspired songs.

With the exception of "Moonshine on the Indian"(which was recorded at Savage Road Studio), this album WAS recorded on a four track, and some of the guitar solos WERE tracked directly into this box. That made me laugh out loud. Also--due to the limits of our four track technology--on much of the album, you are hearing live tracks with Drums, Keys and Guitar, and overdubs of Vocals, Bass Guitar and Lead Guitar. That is it. So, when you can only hear "one or two instruments" that is because, there ARE only one or two instruments playing. Geez.

The production is not comparable to a major studio recording, but do the methods employed not change your opinion somewhat? When you record a full length album on four track tape machines, you have to make some compromises. That is why this album is about the songs, not about the musicians.

The effects are used creatively, not haphazardly. Have you ever heard a vocal that was smashed with a Moog synthesizer? Now you have. There are spots where the vocals are buried, most often by design, as inthe ending of "The Honorable Senator H-Bomb Sandwich". People are not used to hearing anything from the music industry that has not been sanitised to some level of "perfection" and when they do, they don't know what to think. It is a gift. To you. The Listener. This album has been nowhere near the sterilizer, so it has an authenticity, a liveliness, a reality, a spirit of its' own, that has not been squashed by a committee.

For a reviewer who focuses SO MUCH on the production values, to be so clueless as to MISS the obvious, reaffirms why you have a pencil(Word Processor) and I have a guitar. Further, I wish you would have spent more of the bulk of your review on the positive points. You gave us fair marks on the melodies and arrangements. Is the production really SO distracting that you couldn't find this album enjoyable, nay, you can't even say if this is "a decent record?"

The reviewer concludes that "I'd love to believe that there's a decent record buried under this morass somewhere, but I have no real way of knowing." Absurd, Mr. Reviewer. Use your ears. You either like the music, or you don't. To say that you can't tell is a lie. You can tell.

I am glad the reviewers are giving us the rundown, but don't make your opinion based upon someone elses ill-informed opinion. Check out this album and make up your own mind. The reviewers will be the last to appreciate what we've accomplished here. If you seek a pleasant penninsula within the morass of throwaway one-hit-wonders that is the music business, look no further. Get the Seeing Eye Lemmings debut album "i run" today. It was made for you, with love, from the heart. You will be able to tell!

This group recorded most of this album on consumer grade equipment. Having three creative and adventurous engineers in the band, we decided to record our album as a DIY type of product. Afterwards, the album--originally recorded to four track tape machines--was converted to CD. "Moonshine On The Indian", is the lone track which was recorded at a professional studio. What our album may lack in the "Hi-Fidelity" department, it more than makes up by being original, visionary, adventurous, and more or less "REAL"; comparing our album to a major release, despite its' indie roots, is like comparing eggs(us) to egg-beaters™(them). You want the real thing? This is IT!

Our reviewer has missed the point of this album altogether. Despite any other labels we invite(progressive, psychedelic, etc...) this IS Folk Rock! The songs are king, and the musicians, despite their prowess, are largely just getting out of the way of great, inspired songs.

With the exception of "Moonshine on the Indian"(which was recorded at Savage Road Studio), this album WAS recorded on a four track, and some of the guitar solos WERE tracked directly into this box. That made me laugh out loud. Also--due to the limits of our four track technology--on much of the album, you are hearing live tracks with Drums, Keys and Guitar, and overdubs of Vocals, Bass Guitar and Lead Guitar. That is it. So, when you can only hear "one or two instruments" that is because, there ARE only one or two instruments playing. Geez.

The production is not comparable to a major studio recording, but do the methods employed not change your opinion somewhat? When you record a full length album on four track tape machines, you have to make some compromises. That is why this album is about the songs, not about the musicians.

The effects are used creatively, not haphazardly. Have you ever heard a vocal that was smashed with a Moog synthesizer? Now you have. There are spots where the vocals are buried, most often by design, as inthe ending of "The Honorable Senator H-Bomb Sandwich". People are not used to hearing anything from the music industry that has not been sanitised to some level of "perfection" and when they do, they don't know what to think. It is a gift. To you. The Listener. This album has been nowhere near the sterilizer, so it has an authenticity, a liveliness, a reality, a spirit of its' own, that has not been squashed by a committee.

For a reviewer who focuses SO MUCH on the production values, to be so clueless as to MISS the obvious, reaffirms why you have a pencil(Word Processor) and I have a guitar. Further, I wish you would have spent more of the bulk of your review on the positive points. You gave us fair marks on the melodies and arrangements. Is the production really SO distracting that you couldn't find this album enjoyable, nay, you can't even say if this is "a decent record?"

The reviewer concludes that "I'd love to believe that there's a decent record buried under this morass somewhere, but I have no real way of knowing." Absurd, Mr. Reviewer. Use your ears. You either like the music, or you don't. To say that you can't tell is a lie. You can tell.

I am glad the reviewers are giving us the rundown, but don't make your opinion based upon someone elses ill-informed opinion. Check out this album and make up your own mind. The reviewers will be the last to appreciate what we've accomplished here. If you seek a pleasant penninsula within the morass of throwaway one-hit-wonders that is the music business, look no further. Get the Seeing Eye Lemmings debut album "i run" today. It was made for you, with love, from the heart. You will be able to tell!

Timeless Masterpiece; Seeing Eye Lemmings "i run"

My goal is to sell a few hundred copies of our first release to help to finance the release of the next album, slated to be a LIVE release, hopefully by spring of 2007. Additionally, the band seeks corporate sponsors for our next tour. Please contact us for your next event.

Fresh Blood!

My album serves as a functional resume. I concieved this project, hired the talent, wrote the music, rehearsed, performed, recorded, and digitally remastered my project for CD. I acted as the technical director, engineer, creative director, promoter, and producer for this band, as well as a performer. While it might be true that I have spread myself a bit thin in tackling all of these roles, I was impassioned enough by what I was producing to take on these additional roles in order to ensure that the product came to fruition. The CD was released this year. I continue to seek a distributor for my product, and am studying marketing concepts in order to connect my music to its' audience.

If you are an employer who seeks a candidate with media production experience, technical competancy, an inspired and creative mind, flexibility, a love of learning--one who is a problem-solver, a team-builder and a leader, I would like an opportunity to speak with you about gaining a position in AV production. Why I love the Lemmings

I want to tell you about a song I love, and perhaps if I can convey what this one song means to me, you can begin to understand my deep love for this band, the Seeing Eye Lemmings.

The song that came to be known as "No Fear," was the most amazing, spontaneously created peice of rock art that I have ever been a part of, and I have been a part of many such moments over the years. This session--the product of several years of jamming together, playing gigs, writing, recording and producing songs, and a group prayer before hitting the "record" button--produced two amazing pieces of music. The first, a sort of proto-"Camel Song"--titled "Find A New Way"--was rehearsed for the better part of an hour before being performed. "No Fear" was done live and spontaneously.

The date was October 8, 1994.

Due to the vagaries of tape recording, the song begins with a drum roll,and a shread of feedback before the listener is thrust into the insistant march and percolating percussion of "No Fear." The sound of the mellotron offers up a taste of the drama to follow, and whip-smart rythyms punctuated with firecracker sized rim shots drive the listener along to the beat. Two guitars-- a contrast in sounds and styles(the lead is stately and chiming, the other angular and sharp)-- provide point and counter point to the swirling rythyms.

Everything grows quiet as the vocals arrive, in understated fashion, dropping almost to a whisper, sounding off cryptic delicacies, as "don't spend too much time, waiting in line, don't want to find a time to die, a delicate saying for all that is....nothing left, nothing left, nothing left"

After a fine, mellow interlude, the song grows louder again, the organs grinding and percussive, and the vocal kick back in, louder yet, and more insistant. The organs and vocals are complimentary to one another in this section. "Lord, Lord, Lord, some people that you get."

Then a guitar solo, a few bars, very delicately pulling against the tides of the song. A few bars of pounding keyboard arpeggios, and a divine organ shriek announce the next vocal.

Another cryptic vocal. "Cause, when its over, gonna see... one or the other has got to be..."

A softer section follows, a preleude to the next movement.

A perfectly cavernous drum solo slant introduces the next guitar solo, which features a beautiful bic-lighter-slide-guitar, (and Levy slamming his amplifier for the sound of the reverb spring emphases.)

Another verse. Some vocals are loud, others are almost whispered, and in some, the singer chokes back some laughter. "Don't have a spirit of fear, no, no, no, sound mind is the only kind." The dynamics grow louder, then softer, leaving room for the many musical flourishes. As this verse ends, a shredding keyboard gives way to a the shriek of a slide solo, but, man, I mean, this solo is the most original piece of guitar art I've ever heard. Hard to believe, but true.

Thus begins a musical interlude, where the whole thing starts winding around like some sort of acid jazz trip, with the march still pounding away underneath it all. The slide shimmers, the mellotron sound pulls at you and lifts you up, then the drums come to a grinding pseudo stop, only to give way again to the insistance of the march.

This builds up over several minutes, to introduce the climax vocal, complete with random scream, and "hey mister man on the corner, whatcha gonna, whatcha gonna do?"

As the vocal ends, the drums veer into a double time motif. The slide shimmies with a triple time intensity. The organ jumps, Kieth Emerson style, evolving until it is sending off into a sort of cut-off filter heaven.

Then as the drums veer towards quadruple time, the groove finally disintigrates into a pseudo ending, punctuated with the squeals of the slide, then the sharp blast of the organ growing satisfyingly dissonant against the screaches of guitar strings being abused. Another crescendo, and the finality of one section closes with the crash of a cymbal, even as the guitar strikes up the next and final movement. The drums smash about as though coming from within a tim room. The vocalist recites his
last cryptic lines, "the time is right to..."

We thank and appreciate Real Detroit magazine for publishing The Seeing Eye Lemmings first review in the October 11-17, 2006 issue. It's a blurb, actually, but it is just short of glowing, giving us threee stars, and concluding that it's "great stuff for the right mood." We can only assume that that mood is gratitude! Thank you, also, to the editor of Real Detroit, Keith N. Dusenberry.

The Lemmings would like to collectively and individually thank all of you for your love and support for this band. Our music is straight from the heart, and it is obvious that that is where it is making it's mark.

We are still seeking distribution, both in the United States and overseas. The music has a universal appeal, wherever great rock is sold.

Hey, thats what I've been thinking since at least 1975. I count myself amongst the most loyal and long-suffering Lions fans( there are many of us, even here in Michingan). We've been through Darryl Rodgers, Wayne(The Coke Wasn't Mine)Fontes, Mortinweg, Marriuchi, etc. Legions of Champions, those. Many of our coaches subsequently slipped into coaching oblivion, and were never heard from again.

Hope springs eternal, however, and I have to say that I like what I have heard about Marrinelli, and from him. A strong disciplinarian, great motivator is what we want/need.

Damn it, we wqant to win again. This decade, this century, and not a minute later.
